Well done Nathan I assume ... somewhere to put all the non diecast and motorsport stuff ... This will get frequented and filled up pretty quick the way the forum has been going the last week or so :D

Same rules apply as in the other one but at least there is now somewhere to talk about topics not direct related with model cars or cars in general.

Great idea Nathan atleast now we know what is of a motorsport nature or not.

Hopefully we will start to get a bit a better balance of threads on the forum in this section without the constant whinging of some members to the mods about what is or isnt allowed on here.

No problems. Good to see some people like the change even though others do not. People who only want to read automotive / model related topics know where to look and everything else can go in here.

...and those who don't like it get their posts deleted, so it must be all good...

IMHO this is the best thing done on this site. It will make it easier to navigate round the site.

Leigh your post was removed because it was a duplicate post made in another section. If you don't like it why are you still posting in here then?

I don't think the 'YouTube Videos' thread should have been shifted here. It's full of motorsport clips.

As I said in the main forum thread (Help the Mods...) I don't understand this at all.

Who has the right to say what is or isn't worth discussing in the forum?

There was nothing wrong with the way it was.

The other topics have their time when they're discussed and then they disappear.

Now you'll get comments like the one above arguing which thread belongs in which part of the forum.

A poor decision by whoever is responsible

I agree, what a great post.

I really don't like the direction this is heading, other forums I have visited have a similar structure and there is was too many sub-forums, so I don't visit.

I like the Biante forum how it was, all together on 1 page/structure so at least it was user friendly and very easy to read.

I think this is a massive back step on what was a pretty successful forum.

I'm afraid I agree with cowboy Matt. What was wrong with the way things were. What I say is if It aint broke dont fix it.

Apparently I'm not allowed to have a public voice on this matter, but great posts Matt, Brad and Wayne!

Leigh you could always Spam PM everyone regarding this subject, that seems acceptable lately :p

Who said it's acceptable? The spammers have been banned. Unfortunately there is no way of telling who is a spammer and who isn't until they start spamming. Before then they could be any new member.

Thats the problem Rich, that any one can join without any checks and balances then start posting/spaming away.

Its a shame that these sorts of things are not looked at in more depth and the forum like a miny business of Biante, i like alot of other find out various info about release's / car we would like you guys to make and also for you to inform you customers about upcoming product. It seems to me that since the sale things have changed about this forum and the responsibility has been left to those who frequent it rather than those who work/own it!

The user must validate their e-mail address to ensure it isn't a bot signing up. Other than that we can't really do much else. If there is something let me know.

I am talking with the moderators about the forum and expect a better involvement from Nathan from now on.

Richard i am a member of other forums who require a form of validation, it might be time to introduce so form of minimum post quota before people can PM others.

I am sure that Dingo as an IT person might have a few other ideas on what may be able to be introduced easily with no cost.

I also go to many forums & I like the way I can go to what I'm looking for in 1 sub-forum out of many!! Some reg’s don't like this style, as they like to visit every forum just to see their buddies & what’s been posted.

Out of a whole, more people use forums "without posting" to find info & 30% are reg’s "post whore :p" who do all the yapping!

For me, either way is good & bad, as I can't log on at work, sometime I do for around 5mins at dinner break on a spare desk PC, so when I have a quick look I have to go through a few pages of threads as sometimes there is a wave of posting!!! It’s fine when there not, but when I am at home I have the time to look through the forum & can take my time going down the page.
I see names online here for hours on end, before I start work & wish I could be so lucky to have a pc I could leave a window open on the Biante forums at work.
What I’m saying is I’m looking forward to this weekend spending time with my buddies at the Island & don’t give a rat’s what updates are made to the forum as long as I can post & chats with other likeminded people & buddies.

Yes being a moderator is a THANKLESSS job 95% of the time, but it’s a way of giving back to hobby what you get out of it!!! So here’s a sincere “thank you” Mods & staff!!
Can I give a little suggestion? Here it is “If it’s no good delete it lol :p”
Communicate between each other “Staff vs. mods” & the members at times as we always full of good ideas “well not me them lol”, so when you think a of a new change or something you get to see if it really is a good idea as feedback helps.
Why not make a private forum “If there is not one already” for the staff & mods to do this! As I for one don’t like seeing it splatter across the forum! As most of the time I have no idea what’s going on & don’t really want at times!
Okay I’ll jump of this soapbox that was laying here with a bunch of footprints on it, ready for the next person to have their say!!!
If anyone if offend by this post then LETS ROCK!! – I have a can of woopass & I’m not scared to use it “Okay a real hard & long night at work for this little runner & found this way to let of some steam”
