I know I said I'd never do another custom, but this one was pretty straightforward. I put Monaro wheels and brakes on my Walkinshaw and lowered it a little. Looks pretty good to me. Check out the pic.

I have to say, that looks terrific. Very neat, not over the top. Discrete, but 'tough'.

It was a hard decision to change the car from the original state, but I have to say I am very happy with it. I will have to get another Walkinshaw now and keep it original.

Glen, It looks good but you must have way too much money if you can wreck a Walkinshaw and Monaro model.
Keep up the good work.

I had no problem with the Monaro model, I used it to make my V8 SuperCoupe, had the wheels lying around doing nothing anyway, it was hard to change the Walkie though.

Shouldn't limited-run classics be kept factory original? I mean the real cars, not the models, but when you see a perfect low mileage RS Cosworth Sierra have its Recaro interior ripped out and replaced with cream leather armchairs, and the factory alloys thrown out for some ugly modern wheels that will look dated very quickly, it makes you weep. And yes, I am a whingeing Pom.

I must say i am not one for changeing from original but i own a diecast walkie which i reckon is a poor replica from the original and after seeing what you have done i would be very tempted to do similar to make it look better. It would be great if biante would sell parts. They should make a biante autobarn or something LOL.

having the walkie as my favourite HSV vehicle i must disagree with you.

this model is very, very good and very close to the original if not exact

Three things wrong with the replica loste:

1. The front is way too high,
2. The gearknob is too tall,
3. They don't come standard with a fire extinguisher.

This comes from a good friend of mine who owned a pristine example of this great motor car.
