1:18
1. Tru Blu (photos of this model car do it no justice at all!) Not a big fan of the road version of this car but in the race trim it looks sweeeet. This model really amazed me - how about that carpet on the floor :D
2. Brock Bathurst VX (excellent colour scheme)
3. Lowndes Bathurst Green Eyed followed by Sierra.
1:43... did not buy any... waiting for the holdens :D
1:64
1. Rick Kelly
2. Brock Bathurst
3. Kmart (didn't buy any of the Fords but the Ozemail ones look good)

1:64 any of the v8 minicars - #71 Greg Ritter because Biante was the only one who would make it.
1:43 - Prodrive SWRT 02 twin pack - fantastic looking models even if its the bug eyed car
1:18 - Either the XD or the Sierra from the DJR collection.
cheers.

Minichamps have a serious question mark over them as of late.
I have recently got a out of shape Porsche 956K with a rear wing on a real strange angle and a 911 Carrera with rear wheel problems.

Toecutter; If you are in Perth and you do collect Porsches etc, Triking has at the moment selected UT 1/18 models for less than $40.oo on sale ,and some beauties amongst them.
on your problem ,from my dealing with minichamps ,they will help you get a perfect model .
I did have an incorrect set of wheels on a car and this company send out the correct set of wheels as to rectify the problem with in 14 days of me contacting them.

1/64: Don't collect.
1/18: Don't collect.
1/43: Dead heat between:Biante Lowndes 00, CC Seton AU & Biante XB Coupe in Mulberry. The white interior makes it really easy to see detail, as in the Verdoro Green Monaro. First thing on my Buy list for '03 is the Brock/Baird 05 Bathurst car in 1/43.

I collect only 1:18 scale.
As to my favourites for the year :
Road car :
I agree with Wayne (frosty) on this one. I'm quite fond of my LX Torana SL/R5000 A9X.... apart from the detail, I love the Ultra Blue body contrasted with the Chamois (correct name ?) coloured interior.
Race car :
No doubt it has to be the 1977 Bathurst Moffat Twin Set.
The detail differences between car #1 and car #2 and the accompanying certificate make this one really special.
The plaque will be the cream on top !!

I only collect 1/18 and I have to agree with Graeme about the Moffat/Bond twin set......Bond's car would be my pick overall.
