Worth a look......maybe

My local model shop has a Ferrari transporter and Jaguar transporter. They look excellent, but aren't the cheapest diecast vehicle I've ever seen.
Can't wait for a Panasonic Toyota Formula One transporter...
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread toecutter. Just thought I'd say that I've seen them in the flesh and they are nice vehicles.

I was wonder what you call dear, with regards to these?
It would be great if we could get someone to produce some Australian versons to go with our growing list of V8 supercars.
I know cc tried, but they were absolutly awefull.
cheers.

From memory they were about $300-$350 in the shop - for a 1:43. Admittedly it is a truck, but that is still expensive in my book for a 1:43!
They might cost less directly from the importer, or at other stores.

Oh my god !!!!
And I though that Moffat Mustang was expensive at $300, at least that was 1:18 scale.
Is there anyone crazy enought to pay that sort of money for a 1:43 scale truck ???
You'd have to be printing your own money to buy this type of model.
cheers.

As crazy as it sounds, I'd pay that for a Panasonic Toyota Racing Formaul One transporter. Not for being able to print my own money, but because it would compliment all of my Toyota F1 1:43 Showcars and racecars.

Well I kind of know what you mean.
Now if there was a DJR one, I would seriously consider it, even if it was that expensive.
Do you know if these trucks actually have anything inside them ??
I would hope for the money that they were detailed inside & out.
Each to their own I suppose.
enjoy.

Thank you Toecutter for your kind thought.
I do have all the ferrari transporters and a few of the others as well including the 1993 Benneton 1/43 transporter and a Larouse / Zanussi one
There are a lot of other ones in a series of brands Polystill RJ series and Majorette BGh series which has the glass/plastic awning on the side of the transporters.
It is a pity that I am not able to get pics on this forum.
I might ask the forummaster to make some here at my house and post them for me ,now that my modelroom is getting there and I do have all on the shelves and out of the boxes :) It took 3 days of solid srewing to get it done, and boxes every where!

Thats great that you have got these Ferarri F1 trucks. I noticed before that there arent that many Ferrari diecast products for sale in Australia and I thought this link might help you out. As for the price I did not know that they sold for so much($300-$350). They sell for about 80 Euro in Germany which would be approx $160AUS give or take a few dollars.
Cheers!

The 1/43rd range of Eligor trucks is very good and you are getting ripped off at anything over $240.00 for any of them, I have a couple and only paid $220.00 here in Sydney.
Here's another model for FF, But you will need a much bigger shelf.
Bell to reproduce the Enzo Ferrari
After building five Formula One cars in honour of the world championship winning Ferrari Formula One team, Bell, the maker of fine helmets and replicas, are now building the first roadster, the Enzo Ferrari.
The president of Ferrari, Mr Luca di Montezemolo, requested a large scale model for the official presentation of the Enzo to the press at the Paris Salon du Mondiale earlier this year and contacted Bell to build them a 1/5th scale model of the new car.
Ready just in time for the presentation, the car was smashing! So, following this Ferrari asked them to build more, just as they do with the other of the Italian marque's models. Retail price for this special make will be 2,757 Euro, exclusive of taxes and transport charges. Orders are being taken and the new car will be ready for delivery from March 2003.

That sort of a model warrants more than a shelf more like a garage in 1/5
I do have the Toshi ferrari 312 T2 and that only just fit into my cabinet! ,that is 1/6 scale when you put a 1/64 scale next to it or even a 1/18 the size difference is very Big.

I purchased a Ferrari transporter back in '96 for $175.00.
It was made by Paul's Model Art collection.
The quality is very good.
As for being 1:43 scale......don't forget the length of a real prime mover!
This model is 400mm long.:D

G'day,
Late last year I put this question to cc & was polietly told that it was 1:43!!! - don't believe it myself!!!!
I don't know about you guys but there is no way you can get 2 cars stacked one on top of the other like the real transporters.
You can fit 1 car in these easily, but beacuse the inside of the trailer is not flat you can't fit in there correctly.
cheers,
ps I got 2 of these for $15ea from a shop some time ago, who was just trying to get rid of them because they didn't sell very well. - now if Biante made one I think it would be a different story!!!

To see some older pics of my collection do a search for '
'FERRARI FAN COLLECTION by JAGER, he took and posted a while back some different ones.
I do not know how to link it.
There are a fair few more pictures of several very nice collections been posted here, might be an idea to drag them up by better skilled computer operator.
