Im toying with the idea of getting one of those car lounges that are made by putting a seat into the boot compartment.
If anybody has any information on who makes these it would be greatly appreciated.

An XR-XY lounge sure would look nice in the gamesroom.

I found one on the web :- www.rodshop.com.au It's in Castlemaine, Victoria. Maybe just cut your rear end of a wreck, Panelbeat and paint, Upholster, M.D.F. sheeting, Transformers for lighting.

I know i a guy down my way whom makes them, they are a full fibreglass back with seat. look good but just isnt the same as the real thing.
as 7 litre said the best thing to do get a wreck & do it or most of it yourself.
my next project of similar description is. rear half of car use the back seat were it is, cut of on the rear turret pillars, use the boot as an esky or fridge.
being a commodore freak, preference would be VK GRP in road or race trim.

I am planning to do one out of a HQ. and as soon as we get quiet at work she will be on.
The rearfenders are just right and the boot is the right size!
It will be a copy of my old and trusty HQ racecar that was painted in Two Pack Maranello Yellow! ,same paint as on the real machines out of Itally and with a Red Leather stripped upholstery:D

A friend of a friend I know who used to own a Holden wrecking yard in Perth and made several EH lounges which were top quality. He also made a BBQ out of a front end of a EJ Holden also. Lift the bonnet and there was the hot plate. All the lights worked and a original working horn to tell you thats grubs up. I recall that it made the local paper a few years ago. He also owns a winning Street Machine Monaro with the number plate of Q.

This very gifted person doesn't happen to live in Padbury? I think he won a prise in a national contest ! If I remember the colour is pearl blue on the fenders etc. He sparked a avalanche of idea's how to make barbies unique.

Gifted is the right word to use FF, but he lives in Kingsley. He has heaps of car ideas that just blow you away.

Ive cut the back end off a genuine HX GTS/4 to make a couch out of it. I tried giving the car away for free (it was a bare shell with compliance plates), but got no takers in six weeks, and if was a shame to have to see it get crushed without some usefulness coming out of it.

Ive got no real use for it, but its another one of those "projects i have to do, for no real reason".

Im yet to finish it, but i have the original vinyl back seat (black with red stripe) to fit into it when its done. Not exactly sure where its going to go when ive finished it (no room in the house), so if someone was interested in buying it, maybe they could email me.

yeah when u weigh it up against a leather lounge 2 seater its probably not so expensive in retrospect.

Would look awesome at night with the tail lights on, maybe put some hazard lights in there in case of unexpected mishaps.

"aww gaawwd luv hit the hazard lights will ya.. ive spilt my beer all over the duco!" :)

Another Idea would to have one of those mist machines hooked up to the exhuast pipes. Jeeezzz might have to change the air/fuel mix on the carby

If you have a spare $75,000 (that's right, $75,000 !), you could get this one-seater couch. The only advantage is its about $1.5 million dollars less than you’d pay for an actual Porsche 917. You get the choice between the Gulf and Martini liveries, and only 17 of each were made.

If you look on the web site it has some video of the chair and they have speaks buildin which have audio of the car ....but $75.000. get a copy of "into the read" and sit on your couch with our eyes shut and save $74,085.
