Just a thought. Biante or someone independant should make some sort of registry for their cars and model No's. I know i have a few thousand dollars worth of cars and would like somewhere to advertise if they have been stolen. Also I reckon that people selling cars should list the certificate No. Then you would be able to check if it was on the stolen list.
This is just an idea!!!!!!! Whats your thoughts

Yeah
Great idea but geez what a huge project and how would you achieve this.
First you have a very large database lets say a 1000 out of each 5000 batch of a model register and each person has say a dozen cars, eer thats already 12,000 entries already.
Ok this has been achieved and someone has their car stolen and it pops up on ebay. Ever dealt with an organization like ebay, you then have to try and get the details out of them, its hard work I know I've tried with ISPs, online stores etc.
The only viable way would be if Biante would record this as it goes out of their online store. But what if you buy from other hobby shops as many do. Then Biante has to let you modify their online databases or do it themselves? How about the buying and selling of second models? To much administration overhead. I can't see it happening.
On another note a few years back my mate had 6 of the first XY models stolen from a house break in. So yeah it happens.
Maybe someone can offer a suggstion I am fill of criticisms today :)
