My supplier called me today to let me know my xc twin set has arrived, i was just wondering how many of u who purchased the twin set also purchased the winners plaque and what do u think of it? I would ultimately like to get it and i dont want to be kicking myself later for missing out... just seeking your thoughts.
cheers :)

Hi,
I have received my twin pack as well and are superb!.
I am purchasing the winners plaque as well because this is part of the set, which in turn will make it more valuable in the long term.
Yes you will be kicking yourself if you don't get it now.
They will be hard to get later!
Cheers
David.
:D
If you are oredering your plaque through a store, can you get the numbering on it to match the car make number..??

Are the plaques numbered?
Also if you do not order the plaque now I would imagine it almost impossible to find one unless you buy the cars with the plaque from somewhere...
I can't wait to get this plaque :D I think it is a great idea, wouldn't mind the 72 plaque that Brocky won!
If I was you ducksguts I would order it.

Hi Guys,
My contacts have told me that the plaques will not be numbered as it would be too difficult to keep contact of what numbers went where.
This is a shame, as I think they should have been delivered as a set, cars and plaque.
Expensive I know, but hopefully there would not be too many sets to come with plaques. This makes them a very nice and valuable set to have.
Cheers.;)

Pity they aren't numbered to coincide with the car certificates.
Just curious, the brochure / order form for the plaques indicate that like the cars 7712 units will be produced.
So if you don't order one to compliment the twin pack, what becomes of the remaining plaques ?
By the way, a big two thumbs up for this pack, they are superb.
I don't think I will order my plaque, but I am very happy with the Twin Set. I know it will be worth big $$$ one day but I don't want to go through the hassle of ordering one just to slug someone for big buck later on. Let someone who really want one get their hands on one.
What are the measurements of this item anyway?

I know for sure Southside Ford have just received there shipment of twin set's....If anyone is chasing them....
I was lucky enough to be one of the early birds here on Biante.
I too have ordered the plaque and was disapointed as well that they were not engraved with the certificate # and that they weren't available when the models were......
So I think if the palque is all that is wrong then I think that goes to show how good these Models are if that's all I can find wrong...:)

while i think the plaque looks good, i hope its not going to be an ongoing thing with bathurst winning models.
I feel its just an added expense to an already expensive hobby. The thing that i dont understand is the orders have to be in by Jan 3, but if there is only the same amount as the models, whats the hurry?.
I must say that i am very impressed with the set, it has been worth the wait.....roll on the 84 twin set!!!:)

Oh five...you dont have to buy the plaque if you dont want it.
Its not a model car and not part of the Moffat collection, but what it IS, is a fantastic chance to own a replica of something that you normally dont even see, let alone touch. Allan has kindly loaned it to us to reproduce, Bev flew to China with it personally so as to minimise the chance of loss or theft, so I am sure those who appreciate the significance of this item, will be appreciative of the effort gone into bringing it to "life".
The orders need to be in by Jan 3 2003 so we can make them...simple as that. There will be one run. Everyone will have their cars by then, so there is no problem getting the order back as thousands have already done.
If we had no date cutoff, some people would send the coupon back in 3 years time..believe it or not, we cannot make these one at a time!!

I think the plaque will be a great addition to the collection as the cars are magnificent. I also hope that a 84 Twinset can be made for us Holden fans with a matching winners plaque as well, I just love them Dayglo VK's.
Cheers, Jason
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you collectors out there!

Yep i fully understand how much work has gone into it and IT IS appreciated, i have ordered mine, i didnt have to, but IF i decide to sell it (highly unlikely) then at least i'll have the plaque as a "bonus".

Jase (Donny05),
Wouldn't the Dayglo twinset look magic.
It is the best color scheme ever.
Your brochure is coming. I will be posting it tomorrow, sorry for the delay.
Admin, sorry for going off the topic.
