What would be the Biante AUSTRALIAN 1:18 top ten most valuable MASS PRODUCED model cars.

I say mass produced because I don't want to include pre-productions models etc.

Would it be (my opinion - Single cars)

1) Ford White Twin mirror.
2) Ford Track Red Ph 3
3) Ford Moffat 65e
4) Ford White Ph 3
5) Ford1984 DJR Green XE
6) Ford Moffat 64e
7) Ford 1989 DJR Sierra
8) 1992 Bathurst Nissan
9) Ford Wild Voilet
10) Brock 28c

let the arguments begin !:D

from what I have seen the johnson sierra was very popular and increased in value the fastest. But the twin white has the most overall value I have seen some ranging from 2000-2600.... and even the number one of 900 was offered at 3000.00 from a guy in canberra I am lucky enough to have 2 of the twin whites sitting in the corner of my display case.. nice retirement fund

If you know what the aprox amount is that people are prepared now to pay then think forward and do the sums .
10 or 20 years from now they are either going to be worth a lot more or nothing at all
Models from Gorgi ,Giodo , Mebetoys ,scalextrix ,Anson and even Minichamps are going up all the time.
Good if you are out of the hobby and selling ,but bad for the ones that are to start.
We are going to need starting models to get people interested so they can build up to the likes of the Sierra's.
Models of Ferrari cars made in the past and not available anymore like UT 355 and Anson 328 are already getting silly money.

Yes the Lowndes HRT cars are up there.

I wonder what the release of the Green XE "Tree" model and the other Sierras will do to the prices of the already released models.

I agree with FF, time will tell where these models will go over time.

I don't sell my models but its a good feeling to know that they are worth a bit. Sort of justifies sneaking them home:D

Firstly if you only buy models because of the possible future profits than you are not a collector.Like diamonds? People may ask ridiculous prices(especially the first few models) but in reality the collectors are not paying the prices.
A friend recently decided to stop collecting and sell his collection,
he had so much trouble getting the money back that he paid for most of his Biante models(he brought most of his collection after they were released thou).
Also in the world of model collecting Biante only make models interesting to Australians,so the demand for these models will only be local, while say Micheal Schumacher models are in great demand worldwide and will decline in availabillity while demand increases. Not even Mattel can produce enough Schumacher models.
Worth remembering too! is that back in the late 80's everyone started to collect Onyx F1 models. In time these models started to increase in value on the secondery market. Then came along Minichamps and took teams away from Onyx to the point that Onyx stopped producing F1 models. Then collectors brought Minichamps models and their demand increased, but now the wheel has fully turned and because Onyx no longer manufactor F1 models these have now become rare.
What also make a model valuable is availabillity...Giodo,Polistil and early Bburgo were played with by children,so not many remain in good condition. While out of 6000 models produced 5950 will find where way into a display case and never damaged.
The Anson Ferrari 328 was also a cheap model and was destroyed in many sand pits and school yards. But more important is that the Anson version is the only 328 produced in 1/18 scale.

Hopefully in the not to distance future. I would be saying that the
Brock's A9X is in great contention.

Oh,
I just thought of another. Brock's VK will give them a good run for their money.
