Okay, we have seen enough of the bad so how about the good!
This thread is for all the positive things we can find or say about a certain model. PLEASE NOTE, NO NEGATIVE comments. I really like my Brock 72 Bathurst winner & being a model that is one of the oldest it certainly doesn't look out dated. :) It also happens to be the first one I bought.

Any of my f1 cars and my Brock Collection.
I know some aren't 100% but in the end it doesn't really matter. biante have done this the right way from the word go and i will always buy their Brock product.

Same here mate. Im just so glad there is a company out there making them in numbers large enough for lots of people to enjoy. I really think that gets forgotten along the way.

Good work brock 05.
My favourite car is my GTS Yellow Coupe. Looks really bold and strong and great colour. Have a yellow series 2 monaro, but like this one better as it has the yellow seats and silver highlights on the exterior.

Brocks last year. Up at the mount was unreal & to be dominant all weekend was a sight until the car packed it in. Even to 2 young guns couldn't keep up the pace. Admittitly Skaife was doing the driving & Brock the signing. Skaife was on fire all weekend.

Maybe, but the race start was vintage Brock. One of my favourite pics of all time came from that stint.
To have a photo of my hero leading his last real drive ever at the mountain is very special to me.

Yes I certainly haven't forgot that. The sideways off the line slide & trading fastest laps with a ex co driver in one L.P was fantastic. Although the shots I took aren't with the best camera they still look great!!:D Leading over the top for the first time was something I won't forget. Every race fan was cheering him not just the Holden guys. That was great to see as well. Considering I coped so much s#### for years it was good to see them acknowledge what a big part in the sport the king played. :)

My Dick Johnson collection is where I started and is always my main focus. Of the 80's Falcons I have the 1981 and ATCC 1984 cars stand out.

My recently decalled JPS BMW is now even better.
The 1987 Bathurst Texaco Sierra is a mean looking Euro racing car.
My 2006 Lowndes/Whincup Bathurst winner brings great memories of a great win.
My Brock VK is my latest model and I love it, flaws and all.

But if I had the horrible choice of only having one model, like a few here I would pick the car I saw win Bathurst at my first visit to the mountain at age 10 -

The Johnson/Bowe 1989 Sierra :)

Future favs will be 1994 Bathurst Winner, 1992 Skaife GTR, 1983 Moffat Rx7, 1993 LeMan winner, 2007 Bathurst winner, 2007 Bathurst 3rd place, 1985 Bathurst Jaguar and Seton 1993 EB

Was my post really that unclear??????

Perhaps it was.........................

I meant to say I gave away (sold way to cheaply) an SS road car, not a model.

And the VK I sold to fund the land purchase also ran on Super:D, it wasnt a model either.

I has aluding to the fact that my two favourite models were of cars I have previoulsy owned.

I bought one years ago & you can see his eyes wide open coming up over the rise out of the cutting. Found it only last week when I went looking for pics of the castrol cougar car that someone on here wanted. Found no Cougars but I did find something better I had forgotten about.:)

My first love is rallying (not 'Rally' as the wallies on Ch10 say). The driver was Possum Bourne, a great competitor who always had time for spectators, the car just sounded unbelievable, and this model is still the only 1/18 rally car produced that represents a car that competed here full time. (I know there have been WRC stuff made for Rally Aust but not of a local driver.

Hahahaha.:D Is that the Simpsons remote controlled car you have there. It would have to be a favourite of mine. Now lets bag it like we do with every other diecast. Okay I'll start. Problems with Simpsons car: It looks to plasticy, Their hair isn't realistic enough, the front bumber has no detail, the wheels look way to fake and they don't have any grooves in the tyres like normal road cars, the doors don't open, you can't turn the steering, the door handles are just painted lumps moulded on the car, the mirror isn't reflective, the car has no badges. Well, well, well, Biante have been outdone. Cmon Biante, all us collectors want is a working horn and headlights and we will be so happy. Woah what are you talking about Holdennumber1:confused:. You should really get back on topic. One of my favourite diecasts is the 92 Bathurst winner. Because I couldn't afford a 1:18, I bought the 1:43 version, but I still love it as it is an awesome looking car.
Cheers,
Holdennumber1

There around but getting pricey. I've got this in the lounge room cabinet right behind where my wife sits and it catches my eye when ever I'm talking to her. Very dangerous. I think she believes I love these more than her. mmmmmm I'm not answering that on the grounds I may be incriminating myself:D

Patrese's Williams is a ripper too, I know they are getting pricey, maybe Biante should release a second batch.....

Why does it have Racing and not Ro..mans?

Same reason as Marlboro Id imagine, One of the manufacturers actually released a model 956 with the Rothmans branding on it & were taken to task for it by Rothmans, they didnt want their branding asscociated with a "toy".

Back O/T here are a couple of my favourites outside of the usual things seen on the forumhttp://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg30/david 5_album/DSC01962.jpg

My Schuppan 956 has Rothmans on it! I also have a minichamps Prost McLaren with Marlboro on it. Also every black & gold Lotus has JPS on it.....when I was a kid I had no idea what JPS was, I just liked the look of the car.....I wonder how many kids today would know what the Peter Stuyvesant advertising is on Moffat's RX-7???

Love my 1:18 1971 Alfa Romeo Spider :)
I have exactly the same in 1:1, even down to the original hubcaps and exterior mirror.....100% original !

The only difference is the model is LHD and 2 litre, and my real one is 1750cc {the 1750cc camtails are quite rare}

Even made VIC plates for the model to match

....lots of models of MV's.
1:9 Protar Kits which I've built...

This is my fav....an exact replica of my first MV, the F4 750.
It was built from a 1:9 Protar kit.
I have another unbuilt kit to reproduce my F4 1000..........but thats a bit of a Code 3 type job.

ALFA VELOCE.
Bought one new a very long time ago!
Had a hardtop targa cover on it with removable panels and plastic domes headlights covers!
Closest I could afford to come to a Daytona!
Well done Designer.

:Dcool...
I just have the softop, which i had re-upolstered.

Mines still got the plastic dome light covers, which were illegal in many countries, namely the US.
I ordered brand new ones from Italy a long time ago, as the originals were buggered. I think the car is just incomplete without them !!

I can talk Alfa Spiders for hours, so i'll stop now , not wanting to completely hijack this thread:rolleyes:

No I didn't because I purchased that car with a broken LHS rear door. I think Morris drove in to it on the track.
