With this model already out as a 1/18 and a XC Cobra already made in 1/43 will there be the possibility of the Moffat/Ickx 1978 Bathurst Cobra being done in 1/43?
If not does anyone know where you can buy a sheet of Moffat 78 decals for a 1/43 Cobra?
Also has anyone tryed a custom job on thier Cobra as listed above?

We currently have a lot of negotiations on the table and I can't say a lot more except dont waste your money on decals for ANY Aussie 1:43rd race cars.

As they say on the UK's finest TV show, EastEnders, "You're 'avin' a bleedin' laugh, aintcha?"

Hey Nick, you're kidding, aren't you? Eastenders, FINE? The only good Pommy TV shows are/were: The Sweeney; Softly,Softly; & Love Thy Neighbour.
As for 1/43 Oz race cars, Trax has been making these for years & cleaning up at that, especially the Bathurst editions. There were 4 Trax Bathurst jobs in my Crissy stocking this year, as so far, it's the only way to buy cars like racing Chargers, Toranas, older Falcons etc in 1/43.

Steve, trust me, I was kidding. I would apologise for us sending EastEnders over, if it wasn't for the stuff you lot send us. Worse still, my wife's cousin writes for 'em, so I feel partly responsible for that as well......
Getting back to models, I've resisted Trax as I like the Falcon coupe and I've seen the shape Trax's bozz-eyed modeller thought it was. Shocking. So I'll be a big boy and wait patiently for Biante to come up with the goods....

Nick,

Talking of the Falcon Coupe.

I bought the Biante -
"FORD FALCON (AUSTRALIAN) XB GT COUPE 1975
Biante Classics [A52742]
YELLOW BLAZE. ONE PER CUSTOMER.
In Stock "

As I originally bought and owned a XB GT Coupe in October 1974. I was very happy with the 1/43 model....
Even though it wasn't RED, it still bought back heaps of youthful memories.

I agree with you about the Trax Falcon Coupes, I do not like them.

You guys reckon the coupes are bad.....whats the deal with those horrid 1/43 XY's the rear sags like a wet piece of celery and you could use the bonnet as a rain water tank its concaved that much. I reckon the Moffat collection in 1/43 would look superb if Biante decided to do it.

Moffats 1973 ATCC winner should be made in 1/43(with XYGTHO mould).
The only difference is that there should be NO rear wing.

It was partly because I'd seen what a pig's ear Trax had made of the XY that I didn't initially get a Biante one! Then I saw a photo of Biante's offering and bought a 1:43 Track Red Phase III - I couldn't believe how sharp the detail was, and how true to life the shape was. I normally only buy 1:18, but that XY really impressed me.

Trax have made a Moffat 73 ATCC phase 3 in thier 1:24 but at a horrid $320.
All Biante need to do with the current 1:43 XY GTHO is put the race stickers on the Vermillion orange 1:43 and remove rear wing and presto.......

I have the Murray Carter XC Coupe & it honestly doesn't look that bad. Maybe the paint scheme hides the defects.
I didn't think my Bruce McPhee XW Ph.2 didn't look too bad either, but compared to my Electric Blue Biante XY Ph.3, it's just not on the pace. However, as I've said before in other threads, until Biante or someone pull their finger out, if you're collecting older Oz Race Cars in 1/43, Trax is about the only realistic option, or does anyone else know of someone making unusual stuff like Racing R-Series Valiants and LC Toranas and XR GTs etc etc ?
