Sorry guys. But apparently its not available anymore. It was supposed to have been removed a while ago, and the Birtek staff only realised it when their was a massive demand for the cars. A few people i know got calls today saying that it wont be bad.
Its pretty hard news to hear, especially after it looked so promising. I guess Birtek didnt have the funds for it... or didnt think it was feasible. Dont know why CC couldnt make it and do a normal run.

I just got the last jason brights 1:64th from them 2 weeks ago and I ask them will thay be making any in 2009 and thay said no but in 2010 will be but do not know what scales but I hope all 3 so we will have to wait till then lets hope

I thought they were guranteed for 2009? So silly to have a gap. If they can make them in 09, why cant they make them in 08. Nobody wants to miss a car in the their collection, and will be less likely to get the 09/2010 car as they've missed 1 or 2 years and might have lost interest in that team...

I dont get how they cant make major teams. For SBR to fully fund a major car, its a bit of an issue you must think. If CC wasnt insistent on making huge run numbers (9000 Bathurst, 1500 minimum run) we wouldnt have problems of cars worth $120.00 a month after being released.

Im glad Biantes back in the V8s game, but seems like it might be too late this year to save the 08 cars... CC needs to improve their quality too. And Biante back making V8s might force Classics to do this.
I dont collect brighty, but i feel for you guys so much. Id be devasted and so upset if it was a car that was missing from my collection.
Maybe one day we can see a post date? Maybe just fingers crossed for a Bright Bathurst win... even id celebrate that!

Oh wow. I seriously must have missed that minor detail! :o. Is the entire team in jepordy? or will they still be on the track next year? Dont know who wouldnt want to sponsor Bright. He's probably one of the nicest and marketable guys out there. Talking to a mate of mine who went to the Birtek open day on the weekend, and he was really impressed with just how down to earth and friendly they all were.

Britek will be on the grid in 2009. The liveries and merch for 2009 are close to being
signed-off. So unless a major, major development has occurred since I last had
correspondence, all is still go for next year.


As for the models - The minimum required for production of the 08 cars was set @ 2000.
Why so high?? I don't know. It's a shame, but I have been told that the 09 cars will be

Maybe a factor in the decision has to do with the licensing fee that is charged by the V8 Supercars/Teams. It is alot higher than for the older cars.

Yes leigh they are racing in 2009 but no models for 2009 and it may change but dont cross your fingers

The info I was told last month - when the 08 cars were finally cancelled -
was that the 09 cars would be done in all scales. I guess we live in hope.

Hi rob I rang britek today and ask if they were doing 09 cars and she said no but it could change but did not know if or when mate as for the 08 cars I do not know if they where getting done

Well done oh five I was trying to get 2 off them but she only said she had only one left.so you did well.so I got number 999 and you got 1000 number as this was the total made in the 1:64th for 07 cars

Thats what she told me, I emailed them around 4 weeks ago, took a week to get back to me, asked how many i wanted, i replied 2 took another week and said she will look around, another week went by and i reminded her again. Finally got told this week she had one left..WHEW!!!. Asked if JB could sign it for me as i have 99% of my collection signed, no prob picking up tomorrow.\Has been a long saga trying to get this car,and 06 winterbottom and 06 Mcconville to get set up to date.
