Wondered if anyone else collects digitally or normally, old car ads, brouchures, touring car ads, posters, decals etc.
Found there is a fair bit worth salvaging via ebay and other sites, old mags and the like.
How about a thread to post pics of ads, posters and the like...see what you think.
I'll start off with an old Torana GTR ad I found in a Modern Motor I got at a market a while back.
(Leave the water marks at home though :-)

Not really but I got a few old posters of ebay a few years ago, for I think $3 of some of Dicks cars and jamed in the middle there was an official race bulletin from 1986 dicks mustang, stating all times and what dick needed to change etc before the race. Thought that was cool and prob worth a few$
Also had a add for a cobra But gave it to Ross Stone when he got his cobra, because he and his team help me out Quit a bit

I have all the Bathurst programmes from 1971 to current (except 1973) have missed a few on eBay recently and wasn't happy. It's a slow process to find them but it's fun and sometimes expensive.

Nice one, think you visit the same places I do ! :)
The images are not always perfect due to camera angles etc, not always that big either, but I must have well more than a 1000 or so images that I run as a screen saver....Old program, book and magazine covers, Brochures, Newspaper ads, Posters, Pictures and that sort of thing.
I'm too much of a collector to buy all this stuff, as I live in a unit and between models, touring car stuff, Bathurst videos, Books and programs, scooping up a few digital things takes a lot less room.
Take the next 3 posters....think I might have only seen them twice while I've been looking, bit distorted, but well worth a save .

Oh I had a ton of these posters when I was a kid (Who would have thought couldn't get away with giving cigarette promo stuff to a kid now but we had a family owned a shop an I always made friends with the reps to get poster and anything else Winfield racing) I always found it funny that in some of the posters there was a plain blue car but was never on the telecasts, this was about 1993 - 1994 and I was 8, Had to ask the folks after a while and was surprised to learn it was Glen Seaton's airbrused car.

Hey, I saw the poster you are talking about, going around a left hander with Seto and the pack behind the Wini car......Looks really strange with no advertising on the blue ford of Seto's.
Ah, the power of advrtising....reckon they could have got another shot :D

27 was senna's number from that year, but it's nigel mansell in the photo.the union jack on the helmet gives it away.also, senna's helmet was gold with green and blue bands. the car number should be 2.
