I'm surprised that your dealer still had 1! The #4 car fetches more as Norm won the Championship with this car in 1970.

I have one in a market that i go to occasionally, gotta sneak away from the missus Lol.
But the guy i bought the Monaro off is a dealer and being in a small town i guess he's got a lot of old stock

If you are going to get a CC monaro don't expect it to be 100% correct because my dad and I have one and we went over it and there were a few things not quite right but like most models pretty good dad said that Norm Beechy that said parts of it are incorrect

Every model has its faults and imperfections. I wasn't very happy with the CC HQ GTS coupe at all so i got the Biante version. With the HQ GTS sedan by CC its my only choice but it's still pretty nice although i don't think they got either shape quite right.

Yeah he's got a few pretty hard to get one's in there although he displays them out in the open but the prices seem pretty fair.
Yeah it's my first Monaro of that era and i'm stoked with it.

Its one awesome looking car.
The #4 results for that year were
Calder 0
Bathurst 9 (1st)
Sandown 9
Mallala 6 (2nd)
Warwick farm 0
Lakeside 9
Sym Plains 0
Bit of trivia for ya, quiet night at home waiting for Bahrain:o

#1 is inaccurate. Beechey had widened the guards quite noticeably by the time it wore the #1 and the CC car is the same shell as the #4 version.

Sorry guys, I didn't see that the question was answered so I had to edit my answer. Chris, usually the #4 model goes for around the $300 mark, but sometimes if you be patient you can pick one up for about $250.

You're quite right! Good spot. To me the Beechey 1:18s also seem to have a slightly squashed front, too narrow! Still look hot though..But the Biante HT monaros seem to have a more correct front.

The only difference between these and a Biante HT Monaro is that the classics is longer,
I am on night shift at the moment tomorrow night if i find time i will post and image of the Biante HT next to the Beechy Monaros,
that is unless someone else does it first,
Please do not start and argument over which is better Biante or Classics

Yes it does. This is a resin kit. Dave from Automodellistudio has them. He is not happy that the manufacturer got the grill wrong.

I'm not starting and argument over which is better, i was simply saying that i think the front of the CC Beechey monaro seems squashed where as the Biante front looks more correct to the real car. Can't complain about any other part of the car, it looks fantastic;)

If that is in reply to the post about the grille, I seem to recall that the Biante Bathurst Winner (69 I think) has the wrong grille too... But then the Brock car got the right grille...
