Russell stated he wanted to get into a car capable of winning the championship, hes be bridesmaid a few times to hrt, so i think he sign with the wrong team.
maybe he's kicking himself he sign so early this season now that team brock is going under TWR.
he may have missed that elusive seat at HRT or TWR he's been trying for.

Tom Walkingshaw Racing, elusive?? hello?? Not in the Bankrupcy courts in U.K.!!! they are lining up to have a knockoutswing at him and someone is going to succeed for sure!! and the implications are going to have an effect on our beloved local racing ,I think!!
Who would want to be linked with this one??

not being much of a ford man, im not sure (correct me if im wrong) in the pic of ingalls car, it looks like it has a flat bonnet. i thought the ford touros were to have the GT/XR8 bonnet? its got the XR8 lights. is this becaues ford are reconsiddering the design of the GT bonnet (quote 'we can do better than that') of have AVESCO decided it gives too much advantage over the holdens (makes them too even?)
anyone know?

if TWR overseas is going bust.
i'm sure this WONT affect TWR australia TWR/HRT is a very healthy orginisation & if push come to shove i'm sure holden would glady buy out toms market share of HRT & HSV.
They would be pissed of toms gettings a fair of the cake i'm sure.

Appearently Ford are redesigning the bonnet to give it a better (more argressive) look, for when the XR8 & GT are released in March.
As for the race car, it appears that Holden believe that the higher bonnet will allow the Ford teams a bit more freedom with their air intakes, which could give them an advantage, hense they are fighting to make the Ford run with a flat bonnet.
Not that Holden require an advantage, becasue it won't matter how much power the Ford has if they can't get the aero package right. At present, Ford is still having trouble with getting some front downforce on the prototypes of the Barra racer.
Results that were published in the last edition of AA stated that the Barra still has the AU's problem of too much rear downforce, but stuff all front downforce, where as the Commodore is a more 'balanced' package with more front, but less rear than the current Barra prototype.
hope this helps,
cheers.

couldnt AVESCO just make a ruling that says fords intakes cant be higher than where a flat bonnet would sit? then it wouldnt matter what shape the bonnet was.

chups,
You would expect there to be a common sense rulling regarding this like you have mentioned wouldn't you.
But this ASVESCO we're talking about, you know, the people who believe that paritey is when Holden win almost every race in the year.
cheers.
