1998 Hrt Vt

Just curious as to why the 1998 championship winner was made a VS not a VT as was run at the final round (Oran Park)

sorry if this has been brought up before, i did a quick search, but couldnt find anything.

is there any chance that the 1998 HRT VT will be made in either season or bathurst livery? i would be happy with either...

the 1998 livery is by far my favorite livery, on both the VS & VT, i would love to see the later 1 made...

To be honest I am not fussed about what car they model it off just as long as it was raced during the year in that livery, that's all that worries me. I personally don't like the final round winner thing classics do. Just another way to sell the same car again & flood the market with more of the same old same old. Except the 07 winner as that warranted it imo. ;)I have the reverse livery one in my ATCC winners collection along side the traditional car anyway as the way I see it is that it is still a car that was used in the same season. Understand what you mean by it seen as it is a totally different model.

I was glad they did the VS to be honest. I truly loved that car. Some of the best V8 Supercar shots I've ever taken feature it.

I can understand your point if he finished the year in a VS with a slightly different livery, but yeh, this is a completely different model car...

i have the image of CL doin a burnout with-out his helmet on the front straight, & as stated this is by far my most favorite car/livery....

VS was easily the best/toughest looking V8 Supercar and Biante's work to create these into 1:18 is just amazing, my 2 VS's take pride of place and i never get sick of looking at them....

We might get the VT in the future but I'm wondering if half the reason the VS was done was because so many VT models had been made already?

maybe so, but if you go by that ruling, they can make them again now as the amount of VR/S's that are out/coming out would outweigh the VT im sure..

I'm sure they'll do 'em (Lowndes Bathurst 94 95 97 98) one of these days. After all, Biante have done Brocks cars in the same years - the exception of course being 98. 94 being developement approved is coming.

such a shame they had the tyre problems that year... I would have like to see them have a crack in 98 at bathurst with the VS after the sprint season they had it would have been tough to beat.
