With a reputed budget of close to $8 mil. That should ensure that Bessy doesn't spend too long in Seton's old AU.
:D
When I took a tour through HRT HQ,Paul'wally'wessel the HRT PR man told us that in the 2001 season Gibson motorsport got $6 million dollars.$2 million at the start of the year, another $2m mid year(round OP time) and another $2m before Bathurst.
He's claim was that TWR's 2001 bugget was less than $6m.
$8m for the Prodrive/factory ford team to start the year is heaps.
I hope Lowndes and Besnard can help Seton with his knowledge of car parts, because during test days Skaife tells his crew everything that goes on when his in the car but Seton says"Just change that blue thing".Thats were he looses out.

it depends on how the budgets are defined, HRT and other teams probably have several budgets for different areas.
So is 6 million for the whole setup or just the racing side of things?
And don't forget that HRT have already been set up, so a team that has been settled would require a lesser budget than a newer team thats still getting organised.

Surely you can't be serious?????
Glenn would most certainly have a greater knowledge of his race vehicles than you give him credit for.
I would be the first to agree with anyone that GSR has lost the plot over the last few years, but think back to 1997 when he won the SATCC, and previous to the start of our current V8 formula.
Glenn's PJR cars were the benchmark as far as the Fords' and a lot of Holdens' were concerned. Unfortunately, a Bathurst win still eludes him, but up until a particular part failure in his cars, they had generally always been up the front.
Given that he's now in a larger team that has a few more $$$ to throw into development, can we begin to see a return to his previous form. This can only be accelerated with the thoughts and knowledge of both Craig, and David.
I may be out on a limb here, but as far as I'm concerned, Glenn and the rest of the Pro-drive team will do very well once they are established!!!

I've just read Mark Skaife's book , 'Diary of a .....' , sorry i can't say it:p
His trophy cupboard was pretty bare between 1995 - 98 (thats 4 years) , so why can't other drivers such as Seton have lean years?.
Its a cycle, in the past there was the Sierra years, Brock years etc, the wheel turns...

Even Barry Seton, his father told me "he's lost the plot" he had a great opportunity and he let it slip thru his Hand's....pretty sad whenyour own father baggs you........:(
