On a four pound line?
Never mind Sam and junior, how's Rich? I bawled my eyes out when my daughter was born. Now I just want to put her back (she's a teenager now).
Congrats to Rich and Sam. Babies are the best.

Welcome to the world Ashley,
congratulations to both Sam & Richard,
thought the day must be close when i noticed Richards car was not at Biante this morning when i delivered a load of electrical gear to the huge transportable being built a few doors down from biante.
when my daughter was born 14 years and 27 days ago i turned on the car radio and just about straight away the song "I have never have known a girl like you before"
how true are those lyrics
all the best Gerry

Thanks everyone. It's definitely a pretty special time at the moment. Sam was an absolute champion through the whole thing and Ashley is doing great. Now my three brothers and I have a girl each along with Sam's brother who's daughter is 6 months old. Lot's more Barbie dolls coming home than slot car tracks I expect but I do have one nephew who loves his cars and crashing into things.
I'll be off work for a few weeks getting to know Ashley but I'll call into the forum and keep up to date so I'm not too far behind when I come back!
Thanks again everyone, it means a lot.

Congratulations on the new arrival.....
Now thats all taken care of......how's the progress on that model room coming?
If I recall correctly, there was going to be heaps of progress whilst baby was sleeping.... HAHAHA !!!!

I must admit, you guys were half right. We haven't made a start on the model room but not because there is no time, Ashley is actually sleeping REALLY well. Couldn't be happier actually. Just because there are many other things to do around the place than knock up one cabinet (when I need a total of 8 and then to add the glass). Paving and grass out the back is well above that in priority along with a desk for the study. The computer I am using is current sitting on top of a filling cabinet draw with the mouse almost on the floor! Not very comfortible. Waiting on K-rudd to stimulate me so we can buy a desk.
Other than that, everything is going perfect. Quite like this being a Dad thing.

I'll ask you again when she hits her teens and we'll see if you still think it's a fun job :D lol !!!

Lol! That's a very effective deterrent.
My little sister has three older brothers and her fiance reckons one of the most scary things he ever had to do was face 'the Nugent boys' for the first time.
Seems our reputation preceded us. :D

wait until she's in School.
At age 5, ours came home & when his mother asked him to do something, he put his hands on hips and said "I've got rights". When I got home Iasked where this came from. School he answered. I promptly informed him that with rights come responsibilities. When I look back, I can see the funny side. Not so at the time.
Then, I approached the School:mad:

Kids are funny. My niece, who has had more than her fair share of health problems, asked her Mum why her arm hurt. My Sister-inlaw replied 'because I had a needle today' to which my niece replied 'Suck it up princess'.
And she's only 3!

:DBeen thru both of those type of issues. I think school was our largest challenge, as well as his.
Given that he is bright, he has an opinion on everything. I told hime tolday "opinions are like backsides, everyones got one".
Some of his comebacks, its hard not to laugh & keep a straight face.
Come Wednesday, he's back to School
