Confusion over ordering process

I'm new to this hobby and am a little confused over the ordering process.

I received an email yesterday (16/1) from the 'Biante Collectors Club' stating that from 5pm (EST) on Tues 21/1/03 I could place my order for a HG GTS Monaro in Indy Orange. I assumed this was the first time anybody would have the opportunity to buy one. On this forum however, members are saying that they've already received theirs (see "HG GTS Monaro - Indy Orange).

I'm just curious how the ordering system works and what is the best way to get my hands on one? I assumed that joining the Biante Club and ordering one online would be the quickest, safest way.

Any suggestions for a newbee??

Some of us place orders through shops after being sent preorder forms when the model is announced, that way as soon as the shop gets hold of their stock they send it out to us. That is how we sometimes get the model before it is available on the web site.
