Well, what a great week I've had, went to Coolangatta for the week with the missus, to find hotrods and custom cars everywhere.

I have been in heaven for the last week!

Absolutely magnificent cars, all pre 74 with plenty for everybodies apetite. We spent 5 hours yesterday looking at cars, shooting 200 photos in the process! Everywhere we looked there were more cars!

awesome pics mate looked like it was a good thing to go to did you see on the news 2 cars from the show were stolen from the hotel underground carpark i think thats the second year in a row now that that has happened christ youd be looking for blood if it was your show car

A bit of a mar on the event...the two cars were pinched from Kirra about 3km down the road, the 28 Tudor was parked behind two other cars that were moved to get it out:eek:

We reckon there was over 2000 cars there, all immaculate...unfortunately most car shows have cars pinched from them:(

The pictures do not do this "Ovrkil" Camaro justoce...panels oh so flat and the paint so reflective I just could not get a shot without everything reflected in it! Likewise the green Mustang, took 6 shots to get the flames as they kept vanishing! You still can't see the excellent scallop detail in the roof paint.

Did you not know that Wintersun was on Leigh? Its a massive event, i last went 2 yrs ago and it really takes you all day to walk around and see the cars there.

I think there's one more Mustang in my webshots...I crawl all over 64-66 Mustang coupes and EH's as these are amongst my favourite cars...I only take pics of these if there is something that catches my eye or the total package is very well put together. The "Shawby" Mustang just blew me away with how all of the body shapes/ridges had been perfectly shaped!

Hammer, The "secure" parking in Coolangatta just means you need a pass to swipe in, but anybody can walk in and out the door and the garage doors open automatically from the inside. The one we were in didn't have any security or cameras.

Luke, I've always meant to get to Wintersun, but didn't realise that I'd booked the tickets and accom on the same week LOL...it was a great coincidence!

tigerpete, My father just finished installing a supercharged V6 in his EH...todays V6's can be pokier than some of the older V8's:eek:

As an early Stang owner I appreciate your photos but I must take exception to this quote 'unfortunately most car shows have cars pinched from them'. No they don't. If that were the case none of us would display our cars. I was at the Winternationals. Great weekend marred only by a couple of storms which both cleared to brilliant sunshine.

Just because most of them never hit the media doesn't mean they don't happen:(

As unfortunate as it is, people need to be aware that it does happen and take appropriate precautions.
