Just wondering!

Has Biante ever given thought to producing their cars in kit form. As an example, XU-1 Toranas would be made in several colors and sold in limited numbers with certification as they are now. However a kit could also be available to satisfy the needs of those people who would like to customise, or simply enjoy the process of constructing their own car. Personally, I think I'd enjoy the process of sitting down and putting one of these cars together. Obviously the kit cars wouldn't be certified and as a result, wouldn't appeal as much to a serious collector.

As an additional bonus, it may generate a whole new 'micro-industry' in things like replica aftermarket wheels and accessories. Imagine a HG Monaro in 1:18 with Centreline wheels and a polished blower sticking out of the bonnet.

So what do you guys think?

Like a lot of other collectors (i think) i have a cupboard full of unmade plastic kits waiting to be built. Its so much easier for someone else to build the kit for you.
And just my personal opinion, why spoil the classic lines of a monaro or any other Aussie car with an ugly hole in the bonnet.

i like the idea but i dont thing they will do it. people could then get the kit, print up a fake coa and put it in another models box.
i like the idea of after market parts though. Stanbridges in perth have a few but its mainly in 1:24/25 but still some in 1:18
