Starting a new thread for this topic. Got some photos which I post.

Love these cars, & hope Biante do as most as models. Many of these cars have now been immortalised. They will travel the country & hope that we can see plenty of photos from various tracks (post them here), read stories & talk some some meaningless stuff about them.

Sorry Tumbo, will keep it in mind. Unsure about the spam thing but rest assured I could care less about a post count. Surely you're not serious.? Couldn't possibly be. I look hard at the numbers on my share portfolio, now the Biante forum site...

OK I can allow that then. Have yet to see the Group A 635 in the metal, hopefully it is part of the Masters in the next couple of years.

The Histroics at the Island is worth the trip, a great two day that covers all years! it was my 1st time & wish I didnt miss the others now that I have been!
Feel I will be seeing Andrew once a year.

The Historics is something I would love to get down to at some stage, just based on the pictures that I have seen from this years event it looks fantastic.

Novice? Your shots are great there mate. Alot sharper then many of mine are from the Muscle Car Masters. Always seem to do the pit shots well but on those weekends never seem to get the action shots right. Don't think Im really in the "zone" for them like I am at other race meetings.

The cars in the category are all the genuine logbooked cars and have to run a livery that the original car ran at some stage so for some cars that means cigarette signage

Bob Tweedie ran his ex-Seton Sierra with Peter Johnson in the same style lettering as the original Peter Jackson signage to appease the do-gooders but others run the cars with the correct period specific signage

We need to get the models classed as something else maybe. If they were called Authentic Collectables that sounds a bit more adult and then we might get treated like adults. Cheers

Laz and I noticed that while you can't buy a couple of teams alcohol branded merchandise unless you're 18+ you can buy the diecast replicas of said teams cars complete with alcohol signage so certainly one of those inconsistant rulings

As far as I can interpret, they can run them with it because they are not directly in connection with the cigarette manufacturer for the advertising, now, but when the cars were sponsored they were and that was against the law. As for the decal issue they are allowed to do it, on their own initiative, if it is not in direct connection with the sale of Tobacco Products and they do not gain any direct or in direct financial or non financial benefit. This info was taken from the Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act of 1992. Not sure if it is the most current though.

They were taken at the owners private wharehouse, i am forbidden to disclose where it is but the its a massive collection.
Pity i didnt have a camera with a better flash on it or the pics i have would be much better.
