The driving experience in the previous releases wasn't very realistic, so imho it's no great loss...codemasters have really lost the plot thinking driving wise of late

Yeah I always thought they were pretty crappy.No realism at all.

Taking tight corners at 200 when in real life there doing when..its not fun as the laptime also arnt realistic 148s around bathurst just not fun...You wanna go over the edge and do a 2.09 like in real life

the thing i will always remember about codemasters v8 supercars is able to do a lap of Bathurst around 1 min 50 sec. lol

they should do it as 2009 - as itd have Townsville and Sydney + the FGs.

v8supercars 3 though not the most realistic laptimes, still was a lot of fun. Rfactor is better for realism and accuracy, but if you dont have a steering wheel and all the right gear, its impossible to play.

yeah i would love to see the full v8series & dtm on ps3 like we had for 3 instalments on ps2.
i noticed grid by codemasters only had one german track,spa and donnington in the u.k.
no aussie tracks, no real usa tracks like laguna seca or road america. pitiful what has happend to our ps3 games?? were just getting cheap demos for 60.00 bucks on these new fangled technological marvels...B.S. is what i call it! what good is pretty graphics when the game physics and depth suck!!

Anybody still playing v8supercars 3? I am mainly as i dont have a steering wheel so rfactor becomes impossible to play.

I found some skins for the v8supercars if anyone is interested - these are the 2007 skins - so HRT, 888, HSVDT etc are all updated. (though on the VZ body)

- just download, unzip, and copy and paste the files from the different rounds (dont paste the folder - just the contents of the different ones) into 'gamedata' > cardata > v8su (its a good idea to copy and paste the v8su folder somewhere first so you have a back up incase u want to revert back to the old skins)

he's got a total of 5 download folders - so after a bit of fiddling you can get them all. Being 'big' files i dont think you can read them/see which car is what until you open the game.

anyway, hopefully this will 'freshen' up the game a bit
