hey guys im in the position atm where i have the chance to pick up one of the rare shop release pre production 1999 lowndes hrt models and theres a few things id like to know....

this is what i know already

this was a pre production release for shops to display

it came with just the foam pacaging in a single brown box with now usual packaging or certificate

this is what id liek to know from anyone who has any ideas

1 is this any different to the actual release car - the obvious packaging lack of cert etc

2 is there any faults to notice that distinguish between the actual release and the pre production

3 is there any other posible ways or markings or anything to proove it is a pre production

4 what is the worth of the pre production

cheers for any help guys

As with the Brock 84 car, which was in a shop before it's release, there is nothing special about it that I know of. It too didn't come with a COA and was not to be sold to the public.. Unless you really want it and can cope without a COA buy it, but in my view it would be worth less than the proper car.

No special markings that I know of, and no way to tell it is pre prod other than what that certain person says. Not like it comes with a COA saying pre production..

I guess that just depends upon where it comes from ;)

What does that mean?

Means that your comment is not always 100% correct in 100% cases

Have you seen all of them?

Have you seen all of them?

No, not all of them. And I bet most of us haven't, as I was saying I was going off what I have seen. How can I compare that to something that I have not seen.

If someone isn't sure on whether it is the real deal or not I would recommend them not to buy it, unless it's coming direct from Biante
