Has anybody seen a partually used sprint tyre and noticed the yellow has gone and if the teams wish to use them again they have to get the good old trusty spray can out. The yellow is only really on the tyres for the general public and TV viewers to see as it wears off (paint) not a dye or anything in the rubber and it looks cheap and nasty when the tyres are not rotating (on the ground or a stationary car).

i'd like to code 3 some of my 1:18 V8SC's and give them a set of sprint tyres, i reckon it would look prety cool:cool:, at the same time adding abit of wow factor to the cabinet:p

i'll go for the reused set mate, it'll give the model that "i just won sandown" look:p:D

then i'll sit the model out in the rain for a while to make it look even more authentic:p:D

reused is a brighter yellow that is from a spray can and very watery looking.

Australian export spraypaints from supercheap will do the trick.
they're cheap and nasty

Yes this season and I can not remember what race they started useing them, I think it might have been around splittergate time (winton).

Biante and cc will do a pre race version of a car with sprint tyres, so this would mean the original paint not pre used sprint tyres (no touch up with spray can).

I'm a big fan of wets and diffeent tyres on models to break things up a bit in a cabinet. Have done this with the white stripes on one of my Raikkonen 2007 championship winners.
On a V8 it would be great IMO.
