Thought i'd start a thread about endurance liveries for the V8 Supercars. The first one I have seen is this one

As far as i know the 2007 bathurst winning car will be driven, the 06 car is the BA, so they have had to get the 07 car being a BF.

how kewl is that
i hope they make a few of thousand of the cars, sell the lot and donate some of the revenue to the foundation.
If they only produce a small run we'll have a red dust scenario and the 3rd party resellers will make the deniro instead of the foundation.

Mebbe so HRT but not all the crowd is up top and i reckon that figure isnt far off the mark has 3 ladies here that would kill maim and anything else they could think of if i went to a V8 meet without them even worse with the mountain and every year there is more and more of them at the tracks;)

From the little I can see I would say that the fluro green has been replaced by hot pink.
That mixed with black and white should be quite striking.

Chassis 10 was driven by CL at Eastern Creek in 08 (iirc) as a BF, main change was sequential box & BF aero package, other than that i think you will find the cars are pretty much the same.
the 07 BW was the car used by MM/ Team Intra Racing for the 1st part of 09 and i believe it is at the auction house right now...

That looks pretty cool actually. Much better then the current livery i think.
In other news - Castrol has ditched FPR for 2010
I would not call it good untill I see the other side. On the rear shot you can see some horrid green. At least half of it looks good

Thanks Smokey. Doing the FPR cars this year has been a challenge, but sometimes it's about compromise.
Remember too, that's only a low res image that can't represent the metallic of the gold, green and blue etc.

Doesn't look too bad.. would anyone like to moidify it without the blue to make it look good? maybe if it was the deep blue they used to use - like the 2001 FPR?

by the way.. this colours thing is ridiculous... people are angry at 888 for leaving to go to holden because they won't paint their cars blue and ford want more blue on cars they sponsor to push the brand, which i understand. BUT do ford really think that their customers are so ignorant as to not recognise their product in a different colour? Holden are the same, they just don't push it as much i guess, in regard to wanting more red. it's so stupid.. especially seeing the speculation that Castrol is leaving FPR because they can't get the right look they want.
The only people who don't know what car is what is anyone that's under 10 so are they buying the product? No. i'm pretty sure 10 year olds don't have a lazy 35k for a base model..

Look at the other ford liveries as well not just 888, WSR where is the blue, DJR and Fujitsu where is the blue on those liveries. Pull your head in ford or is it get it out of your ***
Djr,WSR and Brighty is not sponsored by ford. The whole colour thing is a load of bull. Ford top dogs were having arguments with Dane. The colour is a smoke screen.

888 is not a fully backed ford team so WTF. Ford now have to pull everybody into line about this as it will look even worse, that is what I think other peoples opinion may differ to mine. Not saying you are wrong Maq but 1 in all in sort of thing.

It is a good way to limit your sponsors and lose ones that you already have!
then why would they not back DJR if colour is not a problem? oh and that other ot.. who are they? they've been dominent... hmmm dunno why you wouldn't want to keep sponsering that lot...

Those three Ford teams do not have Ford factory funding so don't need to run blue paint.

Cars look really good Rob, quite suprised by how well they came up, the metallics really help.

really like the falcon head on the front door.. but luckily they had the car infront of a blue building.. but i wasn't clear on whether it was HRT or FPR.. maybe they could have painted the ground and shrubs aswell... we wouldn't want any misunderstandings... i almost left work to go buy a commodore then.

According to Ford, it was written into T8's contract that they must support the corporate colours, they chose not to and were moved on!!
FPR have Volvo trucks as a sponsor which I guess is semantics!!:p

No not true. Car 5 is the opposite of this. So if they were running together you can read both Castrol and Orrcon on the one side.

Looks to me that they put Kitten on too much of an angle. Your design looks better with the 2XU and Kitten on the same angle.

Thanks for the feedback guys. With the Triple F car we where still chasing sponsors upto the Thursday before PI, there was a chance the centre might have gone to Black but obviously it didn't happen, hopefully we migh have something a bit more for Bathurst sponsor wise.
Sam's car does look great, right from the outset we nailed the design and it looked great on track, all we did between Sandown and now was move some sponsors around.
Yes, Castrol will be keeping these colours for the rest of the season, it is such an inrpovement, I played with the original design but changed it to the new colours, looked heaps better.

Yes both cars will keep the same livery but will revert back
to being an all Orrcon car (car5) and an all Castrol car (car6).
SBR should stick with the mergerd liveries for the rest of 2009, at least. They've done a great job, simple but good.

The GRM car looks kinda NASCAR'ish.:confused: I'm not a big fan either but I'm sure it won't look to bad in person.:)
And I like the Perkins car too. It looks good for a car decorated with what looks to be cut in half limes.:D

The WSR car looks good, I'd buy one in 1:18. It will really stand out on the track and in the cabinet (if made).
I'm not a fan of the Perkins car.
I dont know about the GRM car, i will have to see it in the flesh before i decide. Sometimes drawings dont do a car justice.

Anyway, will the GRM car have the blue whitwall thingy's on the wheels when it races? I don't think it'd look quite as good without them.
The front of the car looks quite wierd also. Looks like someone erased part of the car in MS paint and stuck some logos over the top.
At least the rear end looks good.:cool:

Actually, that looks good in photos. The bonnets also silver, not white like it looked in the design pics which looks alot better IMO. I also hope this is made but as a Bathurst winner. GO GRM!!!:D

Looks to me that they put Kitten on too much of an angle. Your design looks better with the 2XU and Kitten on the same angle.
