Nah i just like the HSV Response R8, and it was made by malibu so i got malibu_response email address, i was going to make a 1:18 model of it but its too much custom work. as for model speed boats, i dont know of any.

HRT Special Edition Ute with a Malibu Response attached would be a great addition to the collection.

i ws told by the owner of the stunt teat that they were having a model made by classic collectables (80,000 he said)
but he seemed to be talking a load of crap as I have not seen one anywhere

I assume that you are building this ute in 1:43 scale? Should look the goods when it's finished. Can they make the decals for 1:18 scale? The release of the utes should be sometime this year. Now all you need is a bike and a van to complete the stunt team set. I saw the van at Indy, what a beast!!! It has a Holden 5litre in the thing!!!! Those guys are maniacs!!!

i just got an email back from patto and he said 'I do all my decals in 1:18, so it is no problem' so theres the answer, when the utes come out in 1:18 just goto his site http://members.optushome.com.au/pattosplace or email him at pattosplace@optushome.com.au

Thanks chups, I'll get some when they release the 1:18 utes. When you take your cars apart, can you get the bodies off without removing the sideskirts? I have found that they always seem to come off at least one side when I remove it, which is really annoying. Do you have a technique?
P.s. Almost finished the Green Walkie, just waiting for warmer, not so humid weather to put the last coats of clear on. It's looking sensational.

well with the 1:18 VTs there is a screw under the side skirts so you have to remove then to get the body off. with the 1:43 concept coupe, the side skirts are part of the chassis so they come off with that, and with the 1:43 touring cars, the body kit is part of the main body so they cant come off. these are the only cars i have pulled apart so i cant help you with the others sorry. as for my DK ute, it is painted and i should get the decals next tuesday, so its almost done. and CC utes are a real pain to do, they glue most parts on so you cant get them off so you have to mask them when painting which never gives you a sharp finish. and the bumpers are part of the main mold so you cant change them (ie. the SS bumper off the ute onto a sedan body for a Ss sedan)

ok, i got the decals today and straight on. theres just a few that need to be re-done then itll be pretty much finished. after thats done, i think ill do both the utes. and maybe the lambo if the decals are the same size.

i stripped the car down and sprayed it myself. it still needs a few coats of clear.
and im going to do 2 plus this prototype. because for me to sell them it would be about $65 for me to break even without including time. next im going to do a tiger mica SS lowered with custom mags for my cousine.
