Was going to post about this meeting in the 'What makes me happy' thread

Outside of the MotoGP and World Superbike rounds at Phillip Island this would have to be the biggest motorcycle race meeting in Australia

Last year's event was big, but this year it stepped up another level again. To have riders of the calibre of Jonathan Rea (British Superbike, World Supersport and World Superbike race winner), Andrew Pitt (World Superbike race winner and twice World Supersport champion), Jeremy McWilliams (250GP race winner and veteran 500 & MotoGP rider), along with some of the best road & circuit racers from the UK (Keith Amor, Guy Martin, Simon Andrews, Ian Lowry, Alastair Seeley, Conor Cummins, Ryan Farquhar and Ian Lougher) plus a handful of top Aussie racers (Shannon Johnson, Daniel Stauffer & David Johnson) mixing it with the best local talent made for an awesome weekend of high quality bike racing

Watching some of the world's best mixing it up with each other in sleepy little Perth was special, and as Nivola has mentioned, on basically stock bikes with minimal modifications (most bikes were supplied by local dealerships and have to go back to the showroom floor from where they came from to hopefully be sold next week!), but the highlight for me was being trackside infield while Jeremy McWilliams cut a few laps on a 250GP bike during the lunch break - the sight, sound and smell of those high performance two strokes is something I'm going to miss now that they've been consigned to the scrapheap

A massive amount of time, effort and money was invested by a wide range of people (but a small group of three or four in particular) to get this event up and going last year, and then to back up again this year, and massive props for getting factory riders for what is basically a club event - no prizemoney or championship on offer, just trophies. Top marks to all concerned

Man, how awesome, also great photos, also thanks for the added info on the riders as I'm not that well in to the history of bike riders.
