there have been a couple of people who tried to sell their whole collection on ebay this year. none of them sold. it's just too much money for a collector to outlay in 1 hit.

Anyway, not sure about the Fords but these are some random estimations at cars value (give or take $50). Don't blame me if I'm wrong.:o

Nowhere near as much if you sold them individually you may be lucky to find a buyer but in todays market you are cutting down the buying market selling them all together. Most people cant or arent prepared to outlay that sort of money out in one hit but would be prepared to pay more for a single car if its one they dont have but want badly just my opinion tho;)

I've got a similar issue with contemplating offloading my complete (when I get the FG) Lowndes Ford collection, including 06,07 & 08 BWs, I've had offers here and there for the "highly desirable" cars, but then i'm stuck with "not so desirable" cars and an incomplete collection of cars that I would most likely have to sell below retail, by selling as a "collection" I'm able to "average" the value of each car, pity none of the offerers have seen it that way

It's just a shame to break up the gang......but I do agree you will get way more if you were to split the collection or I guess once the collection is complete it will worth more. Thanks guys

what about the 88 Sierra - Longhurst/Mezera?

One went on eBay the other day for $280'ish.... that's way above what they normally sell for.

Yes, but if a particular model disappears from ebay for a while you can gaurantee that buyers will pounce once a new listing appears. Sellers flooding the marker with say, 5 VK big bangers all up for auction one after the other are just forcing the value down.
