7litre iam talking about the plastic aerils on Biante model car's on the new xa gt red pepper coupe and on the ht and hg monaro's.I prefer the chrome one's on the ford biante models .I know which to tend to break easy but the new plastic ones don't look as good plus i brought those three cars xa, ht and hg which their aerials were bent over and you cant bend them back because they just bend back where they were bent. The man at the model shop said most of these aerials got bent when they put the piece tissue paper over the cars before packaging.

"I Knoooooow" what you mean, But it a matter of getting the packing correct to stop this dilemma occuring. But have you tried the Miss'ess Hairdrier on it. Hold the Aerial straight whilst warming. Give it a go.

I prefer the new style antenna because if your talking to scale the older amtenna were to thick for the length of the antenna. The bent antenna issue that I saw myself while opening numerous boxes to find one that wasn't bent is a problem but it can be overcome by only purchasing your models from a hobby shop and inspecting the model before you hand over the cash. While these models are the best they are made in china where, at a guess one could asume that the final inspection program is a little ho hum. As a side note, while I was fishing for a model without a bent antenna I then had to find one that didn't have the left hand rear seat belt defect as well, where the seat belt was jammed between the body and the side of the rear seat. There were more of them than there were with the bent antenna.

Sound advice, diecastdude, but some of us don't have the opportunity to visit a shop. Even those with access to shops shouldn't need to paw through the entire stock to find one with straight aerial.
