Well, I was a sparky until my habit got so bad I had to quit work and get involved full time. You should have seen me when the first new prototypes came down. I was like a kid in a candy store. I've settled down now but it is still pretty exciting when a new model comes in.

Most of my models are currently boxed up and it is killing me. I have cabinets under construction. I can't wait. It may be a while but I'll post pics when they are done if anyone is interested.

Not that anyone should need one but I have the ultimate excuse when my friends see the ever growing pile of models. 'It's work, I have to buy them'.

But then again, if they aren't collectors then people just don't get it.;)

I work full time (34-38 hours) as a kitchen designer/production manager for a cabinet making business, but i also run three of my own small businesses:

First one being a cabinet and kitchen design company, AAA Cabinet Design, where i also distribute 3D design/production software for cabinet manufacturers. Among other things, we make also make display cabinets for model cars, draw three dimensional kitchen and cabinet designs, and do inspection reports on dodgy traders and faulty workmanship within WA. All pretty boring stuff, but the hourly rate is very good.
www.monaro.com.au/display/

Second business being monaro.com.au which sees me manufacturing reproduction car parts, restoring parts and/or whole vehicles, and sourcing difficult to find parts for restorers. There is also an online store with 4500+ parts. I basically started this one to make my cars a tax deduction, unfortunately, im now paying more tax! Low hourly rate (going backwards almost!) but i enjoy it, and get to meet a lot of great people.
www.monaro.com.au

Thirdly, ive just started Ormsby Guitars and Repairs. High class custom made guitars and repairs. So, if your looking for a guitar, let me know!!

I collect model cars, but I'm still trying to work out how to get it to pay, instead of me always forking out for more new models.

When I not buying my cars, I teach physical education to primary school children as well as computer to grades prep to grade 2 children.

cheers.

I'm a carpenter by trade.Working and living in British Columbia(Canada)at the moment. The thing I miss about living in this part of the world the most, is waking up every morning and not seeing all my model cars.Since I have been here I have purchased some nice models , but I will always have my favourite(1:18 track red GTHO).She is my baby......I really miss her.
Lucky I have a great mum back home , she orders the new models being released for me.I sure will be jumping with joy when I get to see the new cars (epecially the red pepper XA).
All models look great in pictures and all , but nothing gives more pleasure, than to hold and see them right up close, and even the smell of a classic diecast.:)

Have been a Financial Planner for the past 12 years of a 25 year career in the finance industry, and with all the recent media about my profession, I am proud to say that I am a salary based employee and not a commision driven sales person unlike some others in the industry.

Currently work for an industry superannuation fund in which helping our members is our charter.

Did work as a planner for the CBA and NAB but didn't agree with the sales culture, as this did not provide the service that I thought people deserved. (thanks for listening/reading, I will now get down off my soap box)

I manage a timber yard in Sydney (A woman in a man's world). Grew up in Geelong, (Support the Cats) and have loved Fords since day one. I currently drive a V8 EB II Wagon (only ever had V8 Fords) and concentrate my collection on Fords. In the past I have collected Matchbox and Trax and currently collect Biante and Classic. Hubby is a mad Chev/Holden fan so always good fun at our place. He races a jet sprint boat, (Those 12.5ft (3.8metres) boats with a roll cage) that travels around a mud course in 500mm of water and goes from 0 - 100 kph in approx 2.8 seconds, pulls 3 gs cornering. It has a 400 chev in it. We are also involved in Water skiiing in superclass with the boat being current King Of The Murray title holder. We also travelled to America in 2001 and represented Australia in the World Water Ski Championships.

That's odd. I took a rather brief stroll down memory lane; through the four months that comprise your posting history on this forum. While sifting through all your informationally-bereft "ditto to that", "lol" and "do you know a website other than Biante's" posts, I noticed that singer first accused you of a 1000-post goal back on August 11th. Your response?

"sh#% i got this far why did i have to be caught out know [sic]"

I think your goal is readily apparent.

I, too, have been trying to determine your age. I compared your appallingly poor "all the gays are on CC's site" comment with your claim that you're a policeman and it just doesn't wash. I think you're 13, tops. Actually, it is probably better to say that you WRITE like a 13-year-old.

Either find a better story or learn to write convincingly.

Don't do it for me, however. For the first time, I'm actually going to utilize the 'ignore' feature of this forum.

unemployed, well I'm hoping thats till tomorrow!

I finished year 12 last year, went on to start a traineeship (like a smaller version of an apprenticeship) but the company was mad dodgey, broke the law etc and I woke up to them so the training company that placed me there pulled me out before I took it further (I mean I coulda reported them big time for OHS, breaking the law etc etc)

Second place was fine, I loved it, I had more then enough $$$ for models I acctually brought most of my models this year when I was working there, but they sent me on the road and I had problem loosing the load coming back and I was pulled over and given an official warning and told next time I'll lose points. Being a P plater I only had 4 points, its a 3 point fine! The boss said "its ok, go for your green P's and you'll have 6 points so if you lose 3 thats no problem".

They also told me it was BS about me being responsible because its their car, but the law is I'm driving it dont matter who owns the car, its my loss! So with an attitude like that I walked

The 3rd place I lasted 2 days. They screwed me over on the long weekend, which wasnt a good start. I was told I start Tueasday, but they lied to me and dragged me in on the Friday (rang me on Friday morn and told me they had a sale and it'd e bgood learning, but I later found out otherwise). Then they dragged me in on saturday. I told them I had plans on going down the coast so I had to leave at 12:00

Well 4 pm came and I still couldnt go, then the supervisor told me to come in on Sunday because he told the boss I said i could work (without even asking me) and "If you dont show up I'll have to tell him you lied to me and said you could work"

As I found out it was because he gave the other staff the long weekend off because I was cheap wage wise!

Ever since been looking but Ive got a 2nd job interview tomorrow and another 2nd interview with someone else on Wed, so heres hoping
