View Full Version : My 1st Biante

fatty

I was reading in another thread that Maximus wouldn't sell his Track Red XY as it was his first Biante. I thought it might be interesting to find what other members first Biante was and possibly why that was their first purchase and if they still have it. Mine was the Moffat 65E XY in 1/18. This was my first because when I found out about Biante models the Red and White XY's were already sold out so this is the model I put my name down for. I also still have it. If there is already a similar thread Mods feel free to move.

My first (actually Autoart but close enough) was a 1:18 HRT Skaife 2004 season car that I bought at Bathurst in 05 on sale for $115. After that I bought my 1:18 Walky which was only last year.:)

28C from Model Cars of the World in Burwood in Victoria, $165.00 on the 5/10/2000, on my honeymoon. Told the wife I'd take her to exotic locations. To be fair I took her to the penthouse of the Hilton that night.

1:18 Moffat 64E was my first Biante after collecting Trax 1:43 for many years, I missed 65E but was able to get one shortly after and the start of an obsession was born.

My first 1/18 car, although boxed as a Autoart was a Biante release. The Possum Bourne Subaru rally car. Do I need to say why? Has been a very steep spiral downwards since then.:o

The first one I got was the Mandarin red Holden LX Torana SLR 5000 in 1:18. Got this for my birthday 7 years ago (2002) from my parents.

First model I bought myself was in 2003, and it was Peter Brock & Anne Gigney 2003 Holden V2 Monaro CV8 Targa Tasmania car.

This car meant a lot to me, as I saw it live in Tassie (when I lived there..), I love the V2 Monaro's, and I'm a Brocky fan. Also have the model signed by Brocky too :)

1981 Bathurst Winner in 2002.

Paid $250 for it as it was released while I was living overseas. Had to give it a good think at that price but gladly bit the bullet. Of course it became my 2nd most expensive model after buying the 1989 winner a year later :o

Hi.
My 1st biante car was either Craig lowndes `99 VT commodore,or the road going VL Walkinshaw commodore (enclosed silver box) the craigs car was purchased because a friend had one and i liked the look of it and thought i should get one myself, and the walkinshaw was because i like the car(sorry but i cant exactly remember what car was first but i`m pretty sure it was either 1 of these two) and i still have both of them...
Thanks...

Well I purchased my first biante model car from Erina Lions den couple of years whilst I was on a Day trip up their. I had $15 spare cash on me and decided to go in and have a look.

In there they had a stack of 2004 bathurst winners they were trying to get rid of.

So with my $15 I bought one. At the time as I was not much of a collecter I threw the box out (oops).

They about 2 weeks later I went to parramatta and bought a Tander VZ commodore 1/18 scale, and thats how my collection started. Well now my 11 cars and my dads 1/18 collection of the Brock bathurst winners, we have a solid collection going.

I still have all these cars.
