I thought that GRM livery was just a launch livery for Fujitsu not the actual livery for 2010. Correct me if i'm wrong.

You'd think that FPR would've signed a better driver than Dumbrell after a pretty ordinary 2009. Looks like they want to spend more money on repairs than wins by the looks of things???

i don't think that will be the case unfortunately because i think it was specifically bundy red racing team therefore 2 bundy red cars. Ah well it still involves the great bundy bear and if this years livery is anything to go by then next years should be awesome

From what Garry Rogers told me at the Telstra 500 meeting the livery for the GRM cars for 2010 will not be what was originally shown when Fujitsu announced their sponsorship.

As for the best looking GRM car - I reckon the PI & Bathurst scheme was the best ever.

That is not a hard thing. The red swirl is his 3rd generation livery in 12 years. The:

1st was the predominantly white car that lasted ages
2nd was that black/silver.

The rim here is the A-Tek 5 spoke. Kelly Racing had been using these rims on Rick and Todd's car.

As we know, the new 'control' rim is be introduced froim the enduros this year and beyond.

Team Dynamics in the UK 'won' the tender and there was a V8SC release, but nothing on the looks.

I actually seen the Bundy car yesterday as I took it to the studios for the photoshoot and although yes it may have probably looked better with black, the color of the wheels don't look to bad as it was presented. As for photos, yes I have a couple of "Insurance" shots for transportation (with the covers on the car) and that is the way that it got transported. Due to the importance of the Livery release I will not put the photos up anywhere until after the launch even though you can only see the bottom of the rims and wouldn't know what team it is for anyway.

I even asked the guys in the team if they could take a photo of the car on the truck 'unmasked' for me and send it to me when the car is officially released as I dont want to be responsible for any leaked photos.

Being a Bundy drinker myself (and the only Holden V8SC model I bought this year), Pete I do like the new scheme and will certainly be another for the collection when released.

Maybe with T8 coming on board with Holden, it may have been a case of robbing Peter (Bundy Red) to pay Paul (T8).

Also some interesting things to note-

1. No Holden on the Racing Suits (No Holden $$)
2. Oakley sponsorship / Autofocus Store (Coulthard sponsors)
3. No Racing Dynamics wheel (Maybe WP is starting out the season with the old OZ rims before transitioning to Control Rim sometime before Phillip Island)

You may find that the new rims are still in transit from the UK. It also depended upon you buying them by the end of November last year.

Sorry Pete, but don't like your chances on getting black rims. In fact I would say it's more like 0.
Thought the "blue" HSV logos were sussed out last year, obviously not.
I think the Bundy logo on the leading edge of bonnet could go a fraction larger??

I thought last years car was quite boring at first but grew on me that by the time of Bathurst it was one of my favourites. This one goes the other way, too busy at the front for my liking. I also preferred the silver on the back instead of the black.

Black wheels always look terrible to me so don't be too upset about them missing Pete ;)

Most of the liveries are busier these days, no question about it Brad.

There's digital images of the car in V8X mag today, which have exactly how the car was intended.=, dark rims included

Don't get me wrong, the boys have done a great job applying it to the car, but it needs a tweek or two.

I won't give up on the black rims....we'll see.
Maybe with the control rims coming mid year, they might not bother.

Whoever took the shots of the car in the tent, they are better than the official photoshoot shots....funny:-)

Just noticed in this pic of the Bundy car it has Biante on rear wing end plates, does this mean Biante is going to make the Bundy cars?

Yes. Biante will be making them.

The team is called "Bundy Red Racing", so why would they have one that's not red??
Both cars will be the same livery - save for the numbers/names and perhaps some
daggers on the mirrors to help distinguish the cars.

I loved it from day 1 Pete as the big banger is one of my favourite race cars so it brought back alot of memories for me but as i said a couple of posts back ill reserve judgement on the new livery till i get a good look at it and mebbe its time for a change the 20th cant come quick enough ;):D

The day I saw the 07 HRT cars at Clipsal, I said to myself, I must get a 1:18 model of this and it started me up collecting again.:) So its probably because of the 07 HRT car that I'm on this forum today.
Red aint bad anyway, the 06 and 05 livery's looked really cool. One of my fav's apart from the past two years.

Yeah I hated it at first then I started to like it by the end of '07.
I loved the '08 livery (not the 60th Ann one) has to go down as one of the great HRT liveries.

In 1984, dayglo was used towards the end of the '84 season and for a very few races only, so to get 3 years of it was fantastic. Personally I would of liked to of seen it continued, however the powers that be have decided otherwise obviously, so let's all sit back and watch all the love and hate mail that is coming!

Yes, but on that thinking it would be an expensive exercise for no real point though.

The idea of a "special livery" would be to publise it as such, not just rock up with
only 1 colour different. The idea of HRT doing Bathurst specials anytime soon would
pretty much a dead one.

Probably did not hang out on the forum sites as much back then, but to me HRT has always had that first class professional livery. Even with their promo girls, basic white pants with a red top while other teams are doing all the lycra busty stuff, holden just have it together.
Never bagged the dayglo, never bagged the red, still liked the 90's black & white, HRT always are top 3 for livery, 2010 will be no diff.

Firstly I wasn't paid to do the Livery, I have a contr deal in place for all their design work. Secondly, that livery isn't my design, it was what the team wanted. The team was underfunded last year and when Kitten Came on board that is what they asked for, both the team and Kitten, being that it was only for two races it was deemed that it would be to expensive to have a full design applied to the car. After this Bing Lee came on board and again the team stayed with the same design. The team where supposed to run a different design for the Perth Round with Airpac Bukom on board, the team did this albeit not the full livery.

The car remaind with a Blue base for two reasons, one they where told Kitten needed to stay on blue and secondly it was cheaper to retain the blue as the car would be returned to the Plain blue and white livery for the last round.

Our livery proposals for this season are still being worked on, that's pretty much all I can say on that for the moment.

So next time, before you start going on about things you obviously don't know, you might want to get your facts right first! You also might not want to dump half your own work ontop of someone else's work and claim it all as your own, as you have done with the first design. I'm sure Nick from Nick Moss Design will not be happy with what you have done!

if its one thing that people do that cheeses me off, its the ripping off of other peoples artwork and claiming it as their own, i've seen it a few times on 2 of the other forums where a person posts it on one forum, and then someone else copy & paste it and posts it on the second forum without giving credit, with the obvious assumption that people don't watch and post on more than one forum... :rolleyes:

The second one looks better to me, solely because it is not on an angle which is the default design for V8SC it seems. Having said that I understand that there may be some specific requirements as to the location of the series decals (Pete? Rob?).

It's happening more and more these days and not just with the renderings, some of us are actually having our designs taken and used with out our knowledge, only to find out via a photo or an email from someone that knows our works. Straight fact is that it isn't on!

As a sponsor I wouldn't be happy with the second one as the Bing Lee Logo is too small, they are losing their prime spot to graphics.

The rules require two logo's, one being the champoionship logo to be on the lower section of the front quarter panel behind the front wheel and the other being the V8SA or Event logo on the uper section of the front door near the mirror, this is can also go on the front quarter just infront of the mirror.

Now if they had a seasons worth of funding for this design they would stand out. Excellent work Armageddon

Spot on, not just that but a lot of work has gone in to hiding the fact it is someone elses, for example the reflection has been painted over and the designers logo AND COPYRIGHT have also been removed.

That being said I am getting a little more gun shy about sharing with similar experiences to this having happened quite a few times before.

i dont know if you know other designers on here such as pete (designer) but heres just a taste of how you will get looked after here

his work was ripped off by a model shop in vic known for being a lil unfair on price and a lil dodgey

some framed prints turned up of his work and after a few forum members got wind of it it was quickly extinguished and named and shamed on the forum we all look after 1 another here and most of us know how to give cred where cred is due and for the ones that done they appear to be quickly ejected

i look forward to seeing what you have to offer up in the future from your work

At this stage I haven't got any cars in the V8 categories. I've been working on cars for other local and overseas categories of late, the Aussie V8 market is a tough nut to crack.

At this stage I haven't got any cars in the V8 categories. I've been working on cars for other local and overseas categories of late, the Aussie V8 market is a tough nut to crack.

the second two look great. Yellow mirror on frosty's car looks good and the yellow outlines etc

It's more or less the same bar for the colour of the wheels and some minor logo changes.
There's always some compromise when taking the 2D and making it 3D.

The Bundy mobile looks great.

I think the professional guys use the Adobe suite of products like Photoshop and Indesign.

It's not the new FPR livery. It's actually the 2009 Enduro livery and it's been on the advert since the launch of the website.
