Well, congratulations Biante. I bought my 1/43 2002 Bathurst 05 today, & it is one great model. Well done. I've been visiting my 2 "local" model-shops every day this week, & managed to grab the 3rd-last example in one shop, the other had already sold-out.
The shop I purchased from had mine in the cabinet, & 2 more on the managers desk, 1 of which was spoken for. Talk about a hot item.

I had the choice between the XA or the Brock Mobile and I chose the Latter. Monday will be the day I pick up mine.
The store owner and myself had a discussion about the A9X and we were wondering about the Narcotic Sticks of Ecstacy Advertising and were hoping that the manufacturers dont put in the Bar Coding stripes like I saw on a Rally Car.

Yes, either leave it blank & supply the relevant stickers, or point all of us in the right direction to get some.

Biante will definately not put in barcodes. As with the Winfield Skyline, they will leave the space blank. There are many places that you can get the decals, these will be brought up I'm sure when the car arrives.

Due to circumstances out of our control the XA GT and 3 * 1:43 Holden V8 Supercars were delayed and will be available next week. As with last week the XA will be available on Friday at 2pm Perth time and the 1:43 Holden V8 Supercars will be available on Wednesday at 2pm Perth time.
The Holden V8 Supercars are as follows:
Holden Young Lions #02. Rick Kelly. This is the most asked about 1:43 V8Supercar model that we have had. the exciting livery and even more exciting young driver all add up to make a very popular model.
Holden Racing Team #1. Bathurst winner. Skaife/Richards. None of the 1:43 Bathurst winners collectors will be disappointed with this model. All of the accurate details have been transferred to the smaller scale including the digital readout steering wheel.
Team Brock #05. Bathurst 2002. Brock/Baird. After being available in 1:64 and 1:18 scale for some time the 1:43 model is finally ready to be released. This model is 'as raced' with all of the accurate sponsor logs which were changed on the car between announcing the return of Brock to the mountain and the car hitting the track.
This was taken from the newsletter dated 6th of February 2003.

I couldn't wait till Monday to obtain my 05, so with some trust I sent the Other Half out on a mission to get it for me. "Absolute Fantastic Great Detail". I'm so Glad I didn't miss out on this one.
Just hope that Biante will bring out some Brocky's in this scale.
Great Job!!

As quoted by Richard -
(This model is 'as raced' with all of the accurate sponsor logos
which were changed on the car between announcing the
return of Brock to the mountain and the car hitting the track.)
Well not quite!! It was close, but not close enough.
The order of the sponsor logos on the side skirts is wrong with
the AutoTec logo also missing. Regardless this is a superb model
and testimant to the great work done by all the Biante/Autoart staff.

Steve,
What model shops do you go to? I had the model shops ring me today and they only just got them in. So I think there will be plenty to go around. Just in case you were wondering the shops I go to are in Fyshwick and Queanbeyan.

Lachlan, the shops I frequent are: Fisher Discounts, in Barrier St. Fyshwick, it's actually a professional Tradies Hardware store, if you don't know it already, and Super Toyworld, also in Barrier St.
Fisher's is usually slightly the cheaper.

Hi Steve,
Yep that’s where I go too. I agree that Fisher Discounts is a bit cheaper but Toyworld seem to get more in, but Fishers is a hardware shop so it’s understandable that they would have less choice. Monaro Hobbies in Queanbeyan are quite good to, not only is he cheaper but he gives a discount on the cheaper price, so you win both ways.
Might bump into you one day?
Cheers
Lachlan.

Lachlan, yeah, I've been to Monaro Models, they're very good, but also very out of the way for me, unfortunately. Have you been to Rock Wallaby in Tuggers? They have a greater range of brands, I think.
Nearly forgot to mention that Fisher's is clearing out all their old CC 1/43's for $10-00. Worth a look.

Managed to get myself the Brock car on Friday. I wasn't dissapointed. Another great car..........well done Biante.
Grubby
On Thursday I got my 1/43 Brock VX at Fisher Discounts in Fyshwick. They might still have some.
Also, Daniel Parson's "Collector Model Cars" in Braidwood NSW still has some.

I went for a drive on Saturday and every shop I went to had them except Toyworld in Fyshwick. Monaro Models , Rock Wallaby, and Fisher Discounts still had some. If you don't have one you better hurry, cause its a great looking model and its selling out fast. I don't know why but it looks heaps better that 1:64 and 1:18 verision, must be the extra race day stickers?
