As an IT Technician, and manager of my own Computer Company, I have decided to help out the people having trouble receiving emails with some tech info on why they might not be receiving them.
I have heard from collectors that have trouble receiving newsletters at work. The reasons are simple.
Most business mail servers rely on emails having a valid email address in the "TO" section of the email header. With the newsletter, it has "Biante Collectors Club". Since Biante don't want everyone seeing all the others members' email addresses, this is the way it is done. When your company mail server receives the email, it can't find a valid email address so it doesn't process it, hence, your newsletter isn't delivered to you.
If you talk to your IT Technician, he/she might find all the newsletters sitting in the invalid/rejected mail box (depending on the system used) and if you ask them nicely, they could/should be able to apply a rule so that when email is received from ""Biante Collectors Club", it is forwarded onto you.
If you are in a very large company or your company policy forbids private emails, as many do, the only option is to use your home email account or get a HOTMAIL account, and have the newsletter sent there.
If you are familiar with setting up Email Rules, you could have you home system forward a copy to your work email address as soon as it arrives at home, that way you will have it in both places, alternatively, most ISP's have web mail access whereby you can access your home account via the web, (works only if your home system is not collecting mail while you are at work)
This is the number1 reason why many collectors don't get newsletters.
SOME Members with AOL accounts may also have trouble due to the complexity of the AOL system. This, unfortunately this is out of everyones hands. If you are one of these people, try a Hotmail account also. They are free.
My company uses the same mail server system as many Perth based ISP's, and we have modified the rules so emails similar to Biante's that have no email address, are sent to the correct staff member.
Hope it helps
