Hello all,

The inaugural run of the Australian Muscle Car Club of NSW was staged last Sunday with a fantastic turn out of 28 cars. We travelled south from Sydney to Berry and back.
We had 9 various Brock Commodores, a Phase 3 GTHO an XY GT, 2 Tickford TE50s, a Leyland Force 7V, an A9X Hatchback and an A9X Sedan plus numerous HK, HT, HG Monaros and plenty of HSV's.
If you are interested in looking at some photos then copy and paste the below URL into your address bar.
If there are any NSW Owners of original unmodified Australian Muscle Cars then we would love to here from you.
Email me at rfulop@bigpond.net.au
Cheers,

Bob.

I'm disappointed Senator Bob, i contacted you about joining your club but due to my SV5000 having VN Group A wheels (the only mods to my car) & not the original rims fitted you told me it's not acceptable.
Yet after looking at your photos on your club run to Berry i noticed a green early Falcon GT with non standard rims & red Torana with hotwires which did not come as standard fitment from the factories????maybe there were others as well:(

You are correct these two cars did not have their original wheels.
All 26 others did!
The XT's driver owns a beautiful original XB GT but was out of action due to a gearbox rebuild. He consequently asked if he could bring his brothers XT and he explained its presentation. As he is a member with a legitimate qualifying car we decided to allow it but made it clear that this was to be an exception to which he agreed and supports.
The A9X Torana you refer to is owned by the same person that owns the stock A9X Hatchback in the photos and a stock LC XU1 and a stock HSV VR GTS! I was hardly likely to say to his wife "sorry you can't come" was I. At the end of the day, we drive on public roads so I cannot stop people from coming along.
I do not think it is unreasonable to make allowances as we see fit in the best interests of the club members, especially when these are 25 and 35 year old cars.
I hope this clears things up.
I doubt readers of this forum would find our communication very entertaining so if you would like to continue this correspondence I am happy to do so privately.
Please email me with any further queries.

Bob.
