Was just at my local model shop and saw a green XA GT Coupe in window went in and ask to buy it and he said "no it's not for sale because it is a display model only" I must say it is a nice looking model and the green looks good. The number plates said Biante 03. Has anyone else seen one of these models.

This model was given to the store for accepting invitation to Biante 2003 product launch in Fremantle.

We do not sell tickets to retailers' launch. Our retailers are invited. The 2003 event is now passed.

Tickets are sold to our Annual club dinners for collectors, and the last day for rsvp was last Tuesday.

Thanks very much for your reply. Since posting in the forum I have spoken to another model shop who I deal with and the owner told me the same thing as you have. It's just a pity the guy who's shop I saw it in didnt explain to me the full details.
Thanks again

Hi. I was just wondering why the new XA GT Hardtop model is not in the "new model showroom" of the Biante site? I don't recall seeing the Moffat City Ford XB ever being in there either (makes for pleasant surprises I s'pose).Seems they are both unavailable at the moment too. Lucky I chanced upon the XA at my local shop and snapped it up quicksmart ay!

If you go into the prototypes section of the new model showroom, you will see all..

So I guess this green XA will end up like the twin mirror XY phase 3 then. If model shops sell them, they will be at a premium price, anybody hazzard a guess?

Which colour stands out more, the Pepper Red or the Calipso Green?

The Calipso Green car is the one I want to buy as I came so very close to buying one many years ago.

It is a great looking colour.

Steve which model shop has the car on display?

yeah but do they have certificates????? what could stop any money hungry person spraying a red XA to green in the future! its not that hard. if they dont i believe that it isnt as valuable ..i think it is a complete package and should be..even if you collect and never plan to sell. i would never buy a biante without a certificate even if i was tempted(many times) because when you think about it, its like buying an original GTHO but without any compliance plates or proof, sure you might love it, stare at it, want to trade your kids for it etc, but what makes it so special, the colour, an extra mirror. i think not! it might as well be an ordinary GS or in model terms a ferrari model with another 1,0000000,000000 others just like it.:

Here is the full story on this model.

Each year Biante hold a Launch to display the next years products from all of our manufacturers. Each stockist that accepted the invitation was given a special green XA GT model with BIANTE03 numberplate, and Biante Launch 2003 decals.

This is a green GT which will be released as a standard model in the next few months.

what about the Bathurst Cobra, Yellow XA and Orange XB?

The Cobra and Orange XB have been listed for a long, long time.

The Bathurst Cobra is obviously taking a long time because Trevor is making sure it will be perfect by taking measurements directly from his own car...At least I hope that's why!!! It'll be worth the wait, whatever the reason.....

I've seen the real Bathurst special cobra in the showroom at Biante (visits by appointment) and it looks really magic, i hope the model will look exactly the same, as far as the ride height is concerned. Definately worth the wait.:)

Eliot, do you mean Trevor's Cobra is lower than standard? The hardtop always looks good nice and low!

Nick,
from what i can recall Trevor's Bathurst special is about as low as the recently released XA coupe model. Please correct me if I'm wrong ADMIN. Beautiful looking car all the same.

Looks obvious to me that Biante made the ride height of the XA lower than the XB/C road cars by using the racecar chassis as its basis. The exhaust and fuel tank seem to be the only alterations. In fact I'm going to see if one of my XB racecars chassis will fit under my Apollo Blue XB. It'll be one mean looking road car if it does!
