Anyone getting the CMC Uhlenhaut Coupe

With the new release of this model here in OZ in the coming days I was just wondering if anyone on here will be getting it.

I have my name down for 1 and will hopefully have it in my grubby hands by Monday next week.

Just the cost of cmc models in Oz has really put me off getting them of late...enjoy the model its sure to be a fantastic looking and being a cmc it's going to be top notch in both quality & detail.

Yeah its up there in price but I have been waiting for it since it was announced.

Was certainly a true supercar of its time ... There is a good write up on the car in this months Motorsport magazine - Doug Nye got to drive the car at the recent Mille Miglia.

Ulenhaut Coupe

Car 7 - displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show Nov 1968 - Plastic insect screen in front of windscreen for high speed driving (not on Car 8), Extra large muffler situated externally to the side of the vehicle for driving on normal and city streets (not used on car 8) - interior is Blue (Car 8 in reddish)

Car 7 Reg W21-6962 Chassis No 000 07/55 - allocated to Uhlenhaut for personal use (Staff Car was the official status) - Currently in the Benz Museum

Car 8 Reg NONE Chassis No 000 08/55 - Was unallocated vehicle ( i'm assuming not driven) - Currently in the Benz Museum


Let see how CMC gets it close and which car they chose to do...from a quick glance it appears to be Car 8

Nah not yet mate. Not been at work for the past 3weeks so its on hold still.
From pics I have seen it has a red interior.

I want this car to go alongside its open topped Mille Miglia brother, I believe Biante are still listed as the importer for CMC but it doesn't show on the website, I bought from ebay before but does anyone have another source?
