I just picked up Volumes 1,3 and 4 of The Great Race dvds for $7 each at Kmart. They were the last ones there. Now I gotta try and find the other three.

Glen,
You might not like the price ( @ $32.95 each ), but take a look at Pitstop Bookshop - via Biante's LINK section - where you'll find all six Bathurst DVD volumes for sale as individual items.

Thanks Graeme, I'm gonna have a look at other Kmart stores first, then I'll pay the regular retail if I can't find them. Just watching the Turbolent Years now, it's great seeing the older cars racing. I haven't seen them for years.

Glen,
In those 'turbolent' years, the TV screen was often shrouded in smoke and mist as yet another Sierra RS500 engine expired.
Quick little hand grenades !!!
Happy viewing.

Talking of bargains....
I just picked up a UT 911 GT1 racer for $42 in 1:18 scale from the new Fremantle Motor Museum. Same car on website is $87 inc GST.
Can anyone confirm that UT is a division of Minichamps (Pauls Model Art??)
The new museum is worth a visit. Their website is www.fremantlemotormuseum.net

UT was a division of Gateway Global which is now made up of Auto Art and Gate. Really miss UT, Auto Art quality paint and finish at a Burago or Maisto price.

biante3143...Thanks for the info.
Why I asked about Minichamps is that on the rear of the UT box the address is Pauls Model Art.........Germany.
All my Minichamps models are by Pauls Model Art.....Minichamps. Is Minichamps part of the Autoart empire then?

UT did models for PMA. Minichamps is now under the wing of Action. On another forum, there was a link to the story of PMA(Minichamps and Lang), and the convoluted relationship with Gateway Global but I don't have it anymore.

Thanks for that jager. An interesting read. The second last sentence caught my eye. Quote "Action Performance have been on a buying spree, buying up many die-cast related companies in the US as well as Europe and Australia''
Does anyone know which Australian companies they have been buying. With Biantes close associations with Minichamps is this sentence referring to Biante?
