I don't know about you, but I almost cry when I see a dream machine taken apart.
Don't you just hate it when sum rich, fat idiot buys a VERY expensive care just to look good and not treasure it like a son?
And then they go and crash the thing, wether it be a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, or even a McLaren.
They don't care, they can just buy a new one. But what about us, who unlike them, would tresure it - if we could afford it - and made it last four generations.
It saddens me to think that sumday these cars will only be in existance at the tip. Particularly the more expensive, exhotic, cars that would be able to sell over 2 mill to a collector.
For us, all we can do is laugh at there misfortune and hope it will teach them a lesson. I wonder how many lessons have been learnt from this site. Someone managed to make a 360 Modena look like 30 years old. http://www.geocities.com/diablojunkies/crash/page_ 01.htm

Cheers, V8 Fan:cool:

Have a look at http://www.wreckedexotics.com/.

As Allan Moffat once said, 'Just because you drive a Ferrari it doesn't make you a Ferrari driver'.

Was reading earlier today that Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) is a huge car fan and has a McLaren GTR F1, a Aston Martin V12 Vantage and a Jaguar XK8. Apparently he like to drive them enthusiastically and has managed to prange all of them - to the point he was banned from driving for a time.

Jager, Mr Atkinson is a local boy to me, and I used to see him about in his Aston Martin Zagato (only 50 made), which I understand remained unpranged. However the most famous of his crashes, which was in every paper over here, was when he left a petrol station a bit overenthusiastically in his McLaren, T-boned an elderly couple in their car, and managed to get the low nose of the F1 underneath their car, flipping it over! However, he does regualrly take part in classic racing over here, and definitely has a fair bit of skill, so he isn't just a flash Harry with more money than ability.....

It's 'just' an F1, not a GTR. After the success of the Mr Bean movies he treated himself to the F1. I also read a story he wrote about buying his 456GT which he traded one of his Astons on a few years ago.

Richard

Saw the 'Johnny English' movie at the weekend and loved it. Given the success of the Minichamps '007' series I wondered if Minichamps had thought about doing a limited edition 'Johnny English' Aston Martin complete with opening roof and ejector seat ?

Just last week about 500m from the Club I work at a guy killed himself in his Porsche Boxster. It jumped a median strip, hit a pole and bounced into an oncoming 4WD. The Boxster was a total wreck.
