Good pix

I wish I'd had my camera on me - I ran through the Bowden collection (busy time up there) and there was Mark Larkham - boy racer, sitting in the Camaro.

Mark and I are the same age, so I suppose we're alike in considering the Camaro a hero-car of our childhoods.

this has been discussed before on the forum..
it would seem that this car is not the original..the rear side indicators are wrong too.

there were 2 HDT VKs at bathurst as well, the one in the museum with all its bumps and scratches (original) and the one on display at the track and that did the parade lap with the commodore 25yrs cars which did not have a blemish.

pity really that copies are made but i suppose we would have nothing to look at otherwise...the XR GT and bond cortina on display at the museum are copies as well

But, the HDT VK in the Bathurst Museum IS the 25 car (with the 2 swapped to a 0) plus all its war wounds. The one on display that did the lap IS the original Bathurst HDT 05 VK Bathurst winner that has just undergone a full resto...

Maybe some people should keep these things in mind when arguing accuracy of models based on cars on display in various locations...

I dated one of a twin last year... gorgeous girls, would have been a life altering experience.. so would being a supercar driver but hey! Was never EVER gonna happen! Nice dream though! :D :p
