I m sorry for that...and i hope you ll get them back....I m pretty sure that they ll appear on ebay...look out for new sellers...if somebody offers about 10 or 20 models of the same type it could be the one you are looking for...good luck..i ll check ebay anyway..
Do you know the production numbers of the cars? That should help finding them....

As most of us scan Ebay and SOLD.com, we as collectors can all keep a very serious eye out for anything percular, These scum need nailing to the wall,, Also another site to watch is Stuff.com
So we all hope these low life's can be caught,,

Kristy - sorry to hear about that. Will keep an eye out for them on the auction sites...
This raises another question I have - maybe Biante should have a registration program where people can register their models and when people sell them the new owner can register the car.
One last thing about low lifes who steal - after coming home from work tonight I arrived at my car to find the passenger window smashed!!! Not happy at all. Nothing was taken luckily. Damn these people who have nothing better to do but destroy or take other peoples property! Just glad to see my clubby was still there!

Sounds like a very good idea to me.. Abit like registering your push bike,,LOL.. But as a record would keep a database of them,, it would be an advantage in times like this...

it wont be hard to find the crook i hope. we have too many genuine collectors out there who are not fools. when you see a track red being sold for $200, be aware!!!!

I agree with the register car thingo but i also think that the certificate numbers should somehow be marked/embossed somewhere discrete on the car aswell as these days, people can reproduce the certificates.
In an attempt to help out if my cars get stolen, i NEVER keep my certificates with my cars, and i write the numbers on the bottom of the cars (i know it may de-value them but thats not why i collect them) that way if i see a cheap car for sale, i can just check if the number is where i wrote it, (only i know where it is) then take it from there.
But yes, a register would be great, and also, that way Biante can keep a record of how many cars still exist and where they are etc, it would be interesting to see how many get 'destroyed' or modified/changed.
I for one would register all of my cars.

As far as I know, there were about 10 break in among major Sydney model shops in the past 1-2 years, and more than 100 Biante cartons were stolen (that's 600 1/18 models +) with some other models.
One dealer did keep the certificate numbers of the ones lost. Maybe I should ask him to post the numbers here?

Wouldn't hurt to keep an eye out at tradingpost.com aswell.
Another place to watch out for is your local flea markets.
Knowing the numbers on the cars would be a big advantage or were the certificates kept in a seperate place and not stolen with the cars??

Admin,
My place was recently robbed and 4 Biante's were among the haul. Unfortunately they were not on display but had just arrived and were still in a box - a Track Red, Moffat 65e, Greens Tuff and an HSV R8! Fortunately they left all of the models on display alone - about 45 Biante's and 100+ other diecast cars.
I run an Internet development company and I have actually registered several domains with the intent of developing this exact idea. Time as always has been a killer and so far this has not become a priority, however I am sure with some encouragement form a company such as yours I feel we could put this system in place very quickly and effectively.
If you are interested in taking this idea further please let me know and we will discuss it further off-forum.

On Friday morning the merchandising area of Melville Motors (in Perth) was broken into and thieves took $40,000 of Holden / HSV gear including jackets, shirts, sun glasses, plus a HSV bike valued at $2,700. I was in the shop earleir in the week and they had several Biante models which I assume have also been taken. Beware if your offered cheap HSV gear.

In relation to the issue of security , may I suggest that retailers and collectors do as I do :
REMOVE YOUR CERTIFICATES from the boxes and store them separately in an unobvious place.
The selling of BIANTE / AUTOart models without relevant certificates is to be treated with absolute suspicion.

All,
I posted this on another thread but thought I would let you all know again in case you didn't read it seeing as though that topic had been raised a few times before plus this is the original thread that started it all off :)
I have added a COA register on my site (http://www21.brinkster.com/cambo/COARegisterUser. asp). Once you register you can add/view/edit/delete your model listings.
If you don't have anything to keep track of your models at the moment this is a good place to start or if you do then it is another place for you to store a list of your models and keep track of your COA, model numbers etc...
Any feedback is appreciated so enjoy fellow collectors.
I hope you all find it useful, plus it is free to use.

Cameron,
Thanks for the email. I have already started adding my cars to the list. The Mrs will crack a big one as I have pulled all the boxes out and are all over the floor. Well done and thanks again.

Cameron,
Just finished checking my email and yep my neice just sent me a 600K file which has taken up my hotmail account, should be ok now if you want to fire another one off. It should be ok now. Mate I have added most of the models I have minus one or 2. It works great the Data base and have done an excellent job.
I have looked at the place where you get your web page space and am looking at doing my own web site with the XY and a few pics of my " to be restored after we finished building the Dream home Mustang " plus other crap.
