I'm still anxiously waiting for someone to make Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds. In my opinion, the best looking Mustang ever made.

glen there has been a lot of disscusion on the diecast pub on the elanor mustang. we have been trying to get one of the top diecast manufactures to produce it. and the last posting on the forum was from one of the dealers and sponsers. he said one of the top manufactures is scheduled to make the car in 2004. i know wich company it is, but i cant tell yet. you will be happy when you find out who is making it. ill give you a hint though it starts with a and ends with t . at least thats what we have been told from the diecast gods:D

somewere around the third quarter of 2004. it will be right on par with the detail found in the 1971 mach1 mustangs that have been produced. should be a top notch model at a good price point.

cool, this car I will be adding to my collection, even if i have to let go of a holden. with the highway 61 70's chev van series all I've seen is the 3 74' custom vans, is that all or is there more planned? btw. does highway 61 have a site?

highway61 web site is www.ffertl3.com
it looks like hiway61 always release three versions at a time on the new releases. the vans are a series so there should be more variations to come after the first three. thats the way they have been doing since they came on the scene. the first car in there series was the 1967 plymouth gtx it came out in three colors then six months later three more, and now it looks like three more.they have released the 1968 dart in three colors. and the 1964 dodge 330 in 4 colors. so there will be plenty of different variations to go around.

highway61 detail wise a very good. the have some of the most realistic hood hinges in the buissness. most have rotating drive shafts, carpeting, folding seats, console lids open as well as dash lids. the engines in any of the mopars dodge or plymouths are the most realistic i have seen. there average price is 49.00 usa wich equates to 67.89 aus
lane exact detail
there first efforts were 1965-66shelby mustangs and 1967-68 camaros wich are the best versions in the us market to date. but there new series has gotten better and better with each new release. they average from 70.00-99.00 usa average is 89.00 wich equates to 123.32 aus. the best cars out right now in the lane series are the 1965 chevrolet malibus
1970-72 oldsmobile cutlass
1967-68 pontiac fire birds
but the best is still to come i saw some pre production shots yesterday of the 1970 ls6 chevelle s/s and one of the 1967 shelby mustangs these are going to blow the sox off the competition. if you want a highly detailed car cheaper than an exoto model you cant go wrong with a lane exact detail. i have a bunch of the mustangs and camaros and they are nice but the last few i have got just keep getting better the 1965 chevelles and the 1970 chevelles are super detailed. and the cutlass is awesome. if you want a yellow 1970 rallye 350 oldsmobile cutlass you better hurry up and put in a preorder. this is one of the most anticipated olds in the series and there only making about 1,750 models. they only made the rallye 350 one year in 1970 and it only came in yellow with black stripes. a beautifull muscle car.:D

thanks Tony,
there's a place that I can get a hurst hairy olds for $150.00 is that a bit high to pay over here???
biante11500
16-11-2003, 02:52 PM
well i have the hurst hairy olds and the 1966 hemi underglass cuda they are super detailed, but over here they were around 59.00 to 65.00 usa wich equates to 90.00 aus. then add about 35.00 aus to ship one car there. so i would guess the most he would have in it would be 116.00 to 125.00 aus proably less if its a dealer so the rest is profit. 130 would be top dollar for this car. you can buy one off the inter net from the states and have it shipped there cheaper than 150.00 aus.
try www.supercars1.com type in hurst hairy olds or just look in the drag cars section of there site. just click on show room and the different model classifications are on the left hand side of the page. they ship to australia. hope this helps

Great news on Eleanor!!! Can't wait. I would also love to get a Chevelle SS, not sure of the year model, but it is in the movie Dazed and Confused and it's black with white stripes. It looks sensational in the movie. I've seen Chevelles over here, but never black ones.
