I do beleive that the Monaro /Brock ,targa Tasmania is not far from being released .
This model should be a winner as it is also a commemorative to the biggest roadralley anual event of this great country.
I for one am looking out to add this one to my collection.
Hopefully it will come with a brochure.

Will this model also be part of the 1/64 range in future and will there be a two series ute set (in 1/18) namely the last years targa and the brown/gold(I believe it is called "Hackett gold?) as driven in the Classic rally that would be nice if this would ever be done
as for yet I am looking forward to this Monaro targa tass.
thanks again up front.

Since Ferrarifan mentioned utes, are there any plans to do some of the V8brUTEs? If not, even some of the road going versions (HSV/Tickford) would look great.

And while you're talking Targa cars, why not some of the other notables, such as Jim Richards et al? The more varied, the more interesting the better, I say.

Cheers, ET

Thanks admin, allocated as in - you have them all (eg you are not missing 100 or so) and not as in all sold?

Also how can some people be selling 4 of these cars on the auction sites? I thought it was limited to 1 per customer? Looks like this is another car to be had by the sellers to make a quick buck. It's a shame because the people who really want one might miss out.

as far as I know , It is by presubscription through your favourite modelshop or biante site
from there these models are allocated.
Biante cannot held responsible if someone is fiddling the presubsciptionforms in MY book
it is easy to blame someone else . some people do almost anything to make 50 cents, and I have never heard admin condoning this in any way or form.
collecting involves trying to find out what is going on and this forum helps with this ,together with the rest of this website.
so there is no need to have another (disguided ) go at Biante
in my opinion

ferrari fan -

I was in no way having a go at BIANTE! I am not sure how you came to this conclusion?! I was simply asking how come some people have a number of these models.
I understand you could pre-order them at your LHS and then I guess order 5 of them, but I would find it strange for your LHS to let you order this many, anyway if they do then oh well.
Also I know that you can only order 1 of these items from this website so again I was just curious!

Once again "Ferrari Fan" The defender of evil and saviour of Admin "Biante" has jumped in.

Ferrari Fan Butt out and let Biante answer their own questions.

Anyone would think you were a co-owner the way you go on and on and on and on.

the_goldie,
I think shops get first preference. They order an amount, but if there is a large demand, shop orders get cut back to suit the amount produced. I spose allocated means, they have all gone to retail shops.
Also I think afew shops auction there stock to help sell there models a bit quicker.

Yet I could be wrong

v8coupe - I thought the shops would get first preference, that's cool with me cause not everybody has internet access and therefore can not order online. I just thought they had all the models counted for eg 6,000 unlike the bathurst twin set where only 986 (I think) were made out of 1,000.
After looking through some of the users profiles on the auction sites I realised they were actually shops. I guess its a good idea to sell them on the sites but if they are a shop then I would have thought they would at least offer a buy price.
I have ordered my model from BIANTE and look forward to receiving it :D

Wow that was quick. I hope I get mine next week. Biante 1696 - does it have the sponsors on the rear bumper, eg Yellow Pages and Budget and does it have the holden.com.au on the bonnet under the Holden Logo???

Check out the car at http://www.targa.org.au/ to see what I mean.

Glad to hear it is that GOOD!!!

I received my Brock Monaro yesterday - thanks BIANTE! Very quick delivery. This car looks awesome and was good to see that the car had a brochure and was interesting to read. I love the detail on this car it is amazing - even down to the dashboard and console :). Just a couple of q's on the car...

1. How come the bonnet pins are in red? On the car they are silver?
2. Did Brock get the Yellow Pages and Budget Car sponsors in Tassie? and is this why they did not appear on the final model? They were on the rear bumper on the left and right.

One final comment - I thought how cool they have even put the washer sprays on the bonnet but then realised they were just painted on.

Fantastic looking car and anyone who is a brock or monaro fan this one is for you!

Keep bringing us these great cars BIANTE!!! :)

We made the car as it left the workshop for Tassie as instructed.
We were there for the 10 days and took many pictures, but mainly for future research. There were actually 6 local sponsors on the car as it raced, plus the 'Monaro is back' sticker we have included in with the model from the website.
The washer sprays are 3/16th of an inch high and 1:18th of that is 4/5ths of nothing, so its more accurate to print them than have a 'bump'.
The model will also be the first in our 1:43rd Brock Collection series due out in about 3 weeks.

Admin - thanks for the answers. I did notice a couple of extra sponsors on the side, one under monaro and one under the number.

Yeah it would be a bit silly putting the little bumps on there hey.

Did you ever recover the prototype models that you mentioned were stolen in Tassie??? Damn thieves!!!

Admin,

Will the 1:43rd Brock Collection be the same cars as in the 1:18th collection?

I received my targa monaro from my retailer yesterday,, there are quite a few little errors that I noticed,, 1) There is no rear view mirror, 2) There was the two little spots for the wiper squirters, but no radio antenna spot. 3) There is no TOW sticker on the rear skirt, 4) The battery locator sticker is missing 5) No Jack Here on the front guards.6) No SRS airbag sticker on door pillars 7)No terra meter 8) I'm sure the exhaust was twins and not single 9)www.teambrock missing along the front dash and glovebox. 10) RECARO not printed on back of headrests,, Well 10 I can see,,still it takes pride of place in my collection.,.. Congrats BIANTE for a fine effort,, can't wait for the 1/43 .. :>)

I think that the monaro looks excelent even with the minor faults, although the silver bonet pins on other cars do look very nice. even brocky himself was excited about this model, he was very happy with the right colout gear knob, the racing seats etc, and i love it too. a monaro with a few faults is better than no monaro at all.
