I started collecting this year and thought i would collect bathurst winning models and some road cars - very happy with the quality also:)

but lately i find that models that are in production on the biante site being
1989 johnson and bowe sierra
2001 skaife and longhurst comodore
are sold out at the local supplier
will there still be some available on site or not, how does this work
can anyone help:confused:

Welcome Passenger,

Yes they should still be available on Biante's site if you keep checking regularly or I'm sure someone will be able to help you find one at release price, but keep an eye out for any news on them on this site.

Cheers, Jason

Passenger,
If you go into the site and join the Collector Club and tick YES in the newsletter box, you will be kept up to date with all the latest news and if you are on the ball, should never miss out on a new release.

David's idea of signing up on the collectors club is a great idea.
I remember having to chase all around shops to get those missing models, when i started in 2000. Best way I have found to make sure I get one, is to find a good model shop. Took me a while to find one, but I only buy from other shops if he doesn't get one in, or I deside down the track, I like that car, and he has sold out. Then becomming a regular you may recieve discounts at that shop. I still look at other model shops to check there retail prices. But relieved to have found a good retailer.
It is hard to just collect certain type of cars for some of us, eg: just bathurst cars, once you get the collecting bug.
Wish you well in getting all the models you are chasing.

Another idea that might help is if you make contact with your local Holden or Ford dealer(spare parts section) and get them to put you on thier list, most are happy to do so.I get most of my cars this way and have never missed out, its just a matter of getting on to the right person, there is usually one paricular person who takes care of the models as they are into it themsevles. In my case i was shown a list the other day of what was coming(Holdens) and i just ticked which ones i wanted and thats it,in some cases they might be a bit behind but you get them in the end .
Have a good one ANDO.

hello,
you can also find sold out models available at biante on the buy-sell-swap page.
these are models owned/sought by other collectors. i have found this invaluable as i am also a new collector.
