when you say mobile, do you mean movable arms etc? or electric powered thing that moves by itself? or remote controlled? (remote controlled crane...? )

Hi Mainforcepatrol

There are three companies that specialise in construction equipment that you should search for - Conrad, Joal and NZG. All produce equipment in a scale of 1/50.

For a reasonable selection of these models try Model Cars of the World in Melbourne (I assume you live in Australia ?) and type 'crane' into the search box to get a selction of about 30 different models !

Disclaimer : I have no association with Model Cars of the World other than as a satisfied customer.

since that is my ocupation i have a few of them , i found if you went directly to the suppliers of the real cranes ( there is usually 3 or 4 in each city names like marebini, liebherr ) and you will find there at least 50% cheaper than a model shop

G'Day.

I'm a crane collector and have quite a few. I haven't been on the forum for ages and found this post on a search.

How did you go with your gift?

Anyone else have a collection of cranes to speak of?

G'Day FF.

I've seen the Siku models, and most of them are rubbish (plastic).

I stick the the diecast and brass models made by Conrad, NZG and Classic Construction Models (CCM).

Only trouble is the're incredibly expensive! ($500+)....

Hi - Traffic Collectables in Melbourne emailed me a list of their old Dinkys last week - on it is a "Jones Fleetmaster Mobile Crane" Mint in box. I buy a lot from them and can vouch for their amazing old toy stock. Their number is 039521-2522.
Happy hunting!
