Hi Guys
Anybody else checked out the new V8 Supercar web site, bigpond all over the place, not sure I like it just yet, already I went to one part and it says for Bigpond users only, this peeved me a bit as I will NEVER be a bigpond user. Hope AVESCO have not chopped of their nose despite their face - so to speak.
The old site address gets re-directed to the new one.
http://theofficial.v8supercar.bigpond.com/
Sorry if this has come up in another thread, I couldn't find it.
Cheers

That's only happened over-night...Looks good, the old site was very clumsy...took up to 12 clicks to get to where you wanted...
Does it have all the same stuff?
I wonder if all our links we have here still work?
The BigPond only area would be the in-car cameras during races.
Will have to have a play and see what its like.
Cheers

Yes must have happened over night because last night it was still the old one.
Also if you are a bigpond customer how the hell can you log in to the bigpond 'only' area if you are at work?!?!?! I can not see a log in anywhere.
If you can't do this then no point in signing up - because when I want to look would be Thursdays or Fridays while at work to see qualifying/practice etc...

I should clarify...BigPond Broadband customers only...presumably uses the automatic login-feature of Broadband.
Maybe you should shoot an email to BigPond asking if what you want is possible, but I highly doubt it. By only supplying their own customers this feature, they do not have to increase their bandwidth which costs money...
They do not show the Ch10 coverage during the race, but in-car shots.
They originally advertised that eventually you would get V8's 24-7 (replays, highlights etc) via this site if you were with BigPond BroadBand...at $30 a month, I might have to get it...

Leigh - I could not find an email address to send an email, but I seem to think you would be correct in what you say.. good old hell$tra!!! Makes it pointless from my point of view if you can't even access memeber only areas only when you are at home.
I am with Netspace and Bigpond still has nothing compared to Netspace with pricing and the limits. Plus Bigpond want you to join on a 12month contract!!!
Be nice if the new site pop-up windows would allow you to resize them!!! I hate scrolling!

IMO an excellent site...designed how web-sites should be...you can navigate to anywhere from anywhere in two clicks...
All the information that was on the old site is still there, only easier to find...
The biggest plus is the site is really quick...the old site took ages to load.
My only disappointment is they haven't updated the list of drivers for this year (no Brede, Besnard, Longhurst, T. Kelly still in 52 etc)
Pics from yesterday are good.

I've only had a quick look but the site does look better than the old one.
Leigh. I too thought that it is a lot quicker than it used to be.

Well since I posted that, T. Kelly is now listed as 22...
