This morning while a close friend dropped in for a visit, I was showing him my newest acquisition (Webber R4 Jag).
As he scanned across my cabinets he came up with a question that brought a shiver down my spine.

He asked
" if you had no choice in the matter and were told to let go of your collection but were allowed to keep one piece, which would it be?"......... silence. This was the hardest question I had been asked since " is there a reason your doing 82 in a 60 zone sir?"

After a few hours of thought I came up with the one I would keep and it was not an easy decision, but it would be the 1/8 JPS Senna Lotus.

I put this question out to the rest of you, maybe some of you have been asked this before, but remember you have no choice in the matter, it all has to go, except for one.

After I pared it down to the XA-XC coupes, I'd probably bid the XA and XB goodbye (looking quite longingly at the XB). The XB is wonderful, but the Cobra rocks.

I've only got 3 1:18's so it's pretty easy! Keeping in mind, I'm only 14 years of age and only started collecting late last year. I'd probably keep my Brock/Brock A9X, mainly because it was my first model and I'm a huge A9X fan and it was always a model I'd wanted.

personally Id probably hit him for even thinking of the question in the first place..

then kick him outta the house and tell him to never come back!

he he I'm with you Malik, but if it came to that. I'd be hard picked to choose - I really like my 2002 Super Cheap (I know I know not Kiwi's but I love the paint job) and the 2003 1:18 Murph Bathurst win, of course I don't have that yet!:D

I'll send a pic. The only bad thing about this model is it reminds me of the Moffat Ford Dealers 1-2 finish. Wait til Admin clears pic.

LUN269, I hope I never meet your friend, but if he's going to take away all my models and leave me with only one, I've decided to choose my Autoart 1/18 1998 Rally NZ Corolla WRC.

The reason I choose this model is not that it's the best or most expensive one I own, but it's probably the one with the most sentimental value. This was the first 1/18 model I brought, and was the only good quality model I owned for quite a while. It is the model which got me seriously into this hobby, and the one which is responsible for all the money which has subsequently flowed out of my bank account. This model is also uniquely New Zealand, with all the Kiwis on the door, and in this way is different to most the other models I own.

If I lost all my other models, at least I would still have the one which got me into this most enjoyably hobby......:)

Have no 1:18 so it would have to be a 1:43 and the Minichamps Jagermeister Porsche 956 started it all for me.

Close second would be the Minichamps Senna JPS with rain tyres, or maybe the '93 Alfa Romeo DTM Championship car of Larini, or maybe the ....... hell I could go like this for hours !.

Not tempting fate (fingers crossed, touch wood.Put the ladder back on the ute and kick the cat out ) I would have to keep my 92 godzilla as it is the first car I had bought...

For me I'm split between 2 cars, C.C's Magenta Charger and Moffat's Coke Mustang, I just couldn't dare to loose either of them, but if push came to shove I'd keep the Charger, which may supprise some as I just love my Fords. That Charger has some kind of magical spell over me for some reason

Ummmmmm, Id go with either the Kyosho 300ZX I have, or the Mira 65 Mustang Fastback. The stang has some very strong senitimental value, and I love 300ZX's... id probably go with the mustang though...

I'd have to keep either the biante phase 4 or the biante charger when they come out (please, hint hint), but if I'd have to toss a coin, the phase 4 would be the keeper.

Interesting to read everyone's response.
It sure would be a difficult decision to make.

Hence, may our collections be protected from such evil.

Easy decision for me, my keeper is GODZILLA.......... 1st Bathurst model I bought.
If I had to part with this I would have nothing to pay homeage to!
