Does anyone know where I can get old car magazines featuring contemporary road tests of cars like the XC Cobra, A9X, RPO83 etc? There must be dealers who supply old publications, as I'd like to have articles to go with my models, to "fill out" the collection.

Thanks! I'll have a look - I think it's probably old "Wheels" magazines I'm after, although there must have been heaps of articles on classic Aussie muscle in other magazines over the last 30 years.....Just none of them have ever made it over here.

I have an old 10 'years of the GT' magazine from 1977 about the falcon GT's from 67-77.At the back of it is a order form for a XC Cobra, sweet.
I also have a magazine about Moffats carear from his first race-1978 and at Bathurst 2000(the big wet) I got it signed by the man himself with a autobiography book about Moffat done right after the famous 1-2 in 77 and a documentery video on Moffats 1988 Bathurst campain(I'm still looking for a 1/43 model of it,if you can help). The book and video were signed as well.
And the last special mag I have is a Mint magazine all about Brock made in 1979 right after the Repco trial(I also have the Holden round Aus video) and thanks to his return to supercars he signed it at Canberra.

try old book stores that swap or sells books very cheap. they often have old mags that nobody wants anymore, buried under a pile of other newer mags. i got some of my old mags from these places.

I figured it'd be charity shops and second-hand booksellers that'd be the most useful, but here in the UK the only magazines I'm likely to discover are 25 year old copies of "Good Housekeeping" and "Knitwear Today".......Oh well.

There is a book compiled by motoring journo Ewan Kennedy and published by Marque Publishing. It contained road tests, brochures, photos, ID specs etc on the XW-XY Falcons. I'm not sure if there is anything on later Fords or Holdens etc.

I just dragged the book of the shelf, and they have a website:

Check it out, Nick. Otherwise, I guess your stuck with those 'Trainspotting' and 'Crochet World' mags at the flea markets, eh? :D

Cheers, ET

Thanks Glenn, and thanks ET. Coincidentally, my mate in Adelaide bought me that Marque book on the Falcons of the 70s, and from that I realised they did one on the GT and GTHOs, which I've just bought. Now for some Holden books......
