Hi all

Gee only been on line today and already asking questions!!!
For the other half of course! No I am not a spy..but I can keep an eye on him now!!!

I got the newsletter today saying the Holden Commodore VB VC VK's etc. etc. have got approval.

Are these V8's touring cars or standard road cars?

Please excuse my ignorance as I am just trying to get my head around how to do this...hope I am not bothering anyone too much. Sorry

Thanks in advance,
The Holden Girl

I'm only guessing but I got the impression that they would be road cars. Theres no mention of VN's or VP's which you would assume would be race cars.
It also said that they had gathered as many concourse condition cars as possible which would suggest they were road cars.

Ok, no not bothering us, thats what these forums are for, but one thing that might start bothering people is that you start a new thread to reply to other threads, so i thought i would help the lady ;).

Ok see the reply button just under this reply, click that when you want to reply to someone, and it stays all in the one thread.

But like you had a question about Holden Commodore VB VC VK's suppose it was a good idea to start a new thread, Hope im making some sort of sence now.....

Yes thinks they are road cars, and some VL race cars, "I want that VK Blue Meanieeeeeeee"

Cheers

Mike

I had a feeling 2004 was going to be an exciting one for collecting! All the major manufacturers are releasing some fabulous cars this year (or probably into next if recent schedules are anything to go by!). European Touring Cars, Aussie Group C and Group A, historics, sports racers - this has to be a golden era of model collecting. You'll be able to bore your grandchildren about how you were there when it was all happening.....

With all these models coming out it will be a golden year for the credit card companies!

the latest pics of the HRT VY prototypes are up here (http://www.biante.com.au/merchandise.cfm?mode=vie w&MerchandiseID=13496) and here (http://www.biante.com.au/merchandise.cfm?mode=vie w&MerchandiseID=13497)
and you might notice that they have TOW HOOKS! i gues all that persistance paid off eventually. the pics dont quite look right (front too wide and flat with the grille too vertical) but im sure thats just the photos, these should look great in the flesh

Rear wing looks a bit odd as well, but it will be fine when it gets here.

Hey Chups - the thing with the tow hooks is that the Team Brock cars had them, but then some of the cars that came out after that did not have them... good to see them on the car though and the new VYs finally making their way in the development process. Shouldn't be too far away. I am hanging out for the Sandown and Bathurst winner from last year!

I think the dimensions of the VY's look fine and I know they're only prototypes but my only gripe is the ride height. Way too high at the back. I'm sure this will be sorted. Bring em on:D
