Have a look no reserve, no box & a minor scratch.
Ideal for the people who missed out on it

No picture of the scratch and, the biggie, no CoA. I'll bet that cuts the value in half, at least.
If there's anything the non-CoA versions of the CV8s and Clubbies proved, it's that you guys put a big value on the CoAs.

personally I would think the big value doesnt so much come from the fact that it has a COA.. its that one with a COA is seen as more limited then ones without...

Actually guys....I jujst checked out the XY. Noticed the seller as "Your Model Cars". I have bought two Trax FJ's off this guy and as far as I am concerned, this guy is good. Both cars were exactly what i wanted and in good nick.
I am sure if it was stolen by a previous person, this guy wouldn't have known.
Sounds like a bargain to me.

hi bc
one thing i note with numbered COAs that it pretty much negates any doubt over the actual numbers produced.
i have bought many very limited USA models....of 900, of 1200, of 1966 and so on that are still readily available to a world wide market after our often bigger runs are sold out locally.
go figure?

I just recieved a reply about the missing certificate:
Hi Steve
This model was traded to me a couple of years ago without a box or certificate of authenticity. There is nothing sinister about this sale. It is simply a Track Red XY 1/18 scale that is not in mint condition (scratch), does not come with it's orginal box and has no certificate.
I am going to update the auction with a photo of the scratch later this evening.
Your Model Cars
I have no doubt that this an above board sale, the guy has a legitimate reason why there is no certificate, it never ceases to amaze me that everytime there is no certificate with a model car there are a number of people that automatically think that its stolen, good luck to the guy I for one hope that he makes a killing on it.

i have purchased many models from this guy.
He has always been legit & i believe his auction is legit.
Funny how people think the worst straight away.

Just maybe this is a "ROW", Rest of the World " model.
I am pretty sure that some of the Biante releases that made it to other country's except Australia and NZ didn't come with a COA.
I pretty sure this has been talked about before.
Maybe Admin could shed some light on this matter.

I think with stuff like this it's always safer to assume the worst until proved otherwise, rather than assume the best until you get burned! Even reputable sellers can get conned. However, it's also safer to think it rather than say it! Less chance of legal action that way.....

Some of you blokes make me laugh. Do you sit at your computer just waiting to go off like a cracker being the internet police, christ the comments made were,
"i wonder if it's a hot one"
&
"yeah, sounds hot"
Not I think the seller is a thief!!!
These are expressions not accusations, steve you must like the sound of your own typing because you have run this argument in both this forum and the CC one and its booorring. Turn off your blue light and talk about cars.

Many times.
IIRC, the ROW cars were limited to the first two Clubbys, the Red Hot HSV GTS 300, the series 1 CV8s, a handful of XU-1s in both colours, the John Goss XY and the Yellow Ochre XY. Oh, and I believe a few 28Cs that were with some sort of Levis promotional. Those are the only ones of which I am aware.
And, for the record, I have purchased from your-model-cars before and had absolutely no problem. My initial reply wasn't to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the auction but, rather, to predict what price a non-CoA version would fetch.

After a number of people have already placed bids, the description has been updated to include another scratch has been found on the model. How many more will there be before it closes.Auction should be cancelled and restarted with all correct info.Still hasn't updated the pics as stated.Without the box,COA and the damage its not worth the release price. But some fool will pay big dollars for it.

I agree ,
i would not pay that much for it , There's plenty of other M.i.b. Models I 'd rather spend that sought of money on .

The seller has got over 400 feedback rating at 100% postive. You don't get a rating like this by cheating people. It is good that they noted another scratch on it. Most sellers don't! Good on him i hope he gets good money for the car.

The only ROW models produced without a certificate have been some late model Holden and HSV cars. No historic road and race cars have been released without certificates (with obvious exception for the Brock #1 XU-1 which has a numbered plate).
Early in the program some cars were produced for New Zealand with NZ next to the number on the certificates. This was stopped after only a few models and now all certificates are the same.

That's odd. My Goss XY, straight from scale18.com, did not have a certificate. Now, all of a sudden, it appears that they have them (according to the site).
I was quite certain that Kevin specifically mentioned that his XU-1s don't have them and, some time back, he had a handful of Yellow Ochre XYs that were also without. I was ready to purchase one of the XYs until he informed me of that.
